When I Try To Upload An Avatar From My Computer It Gives Me Spongebob?

I'm trying to make a gif my avatar.

When I import it from imgur it just gives me the first frame of my gif but it keeps the gif extension..

When I upload to the website from my computer it just gives me a spongebob gif lol

Try using different image hosting sites and changing the resolution of the image if you can, sometimes it helps.

Run it through Imgur first. Past the "Direct Link" into where it says "Import a photo from a URL."
