lawnmowerman 3040 Share Posted April 18, 2015 Minecraft name: TheBigPoppa. Skype ID: PM me for it, please. Timezone: GMT. Have you had any bans or strikes?: If yes give a link: Aye, I've had a ban report, and I am currently banned until the 2nd of may due to trolling and harassment. I just decided to post it now so I can get more feedback and maybe a few requests on something to build. Here's the link to BR which includes trolling and toxic attitude where I recieved a warning about my actions: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/121008-ban-report-on-agurka200/?hl=%2Breport+%2Bagurka200 Why do you want to be a builder for the ET?: Well, I've recently been building on another server, along with regularly logging onto the MM server to practice and I honestly feel I can bring some nice builds for players to enjoy and role-play on, for example ruins which could provide some excellent adventure exploration role-play that players or the ET actors could use for events. If I remember correctly, I once went on a halfling adventure with a few others, where we found a random ruin and fought against large spiders. It was very enjoyable and the ruins had a parkour feel to it and was very interesting. I'd love creating something like that for the community. What are some of your most treasured builds?: (screenshots if possible): http://puu.sh/g9jxT/a5293e395b.png The little hut is a project I've been working on with _Sweetwater and sean_desed. Sean focused on making the trees whilst _Sweet helped me with the roof and "skeleton" of the build. I basically wanted to build a somewhat spooky little hut in the middle of a forest with a "get off my lawn" sorta feel. As for the sandy pirate cove, I built survival on another server, except for the walls, which were built by AGiantPie. Grafites then took the screenshots, hence the shaders. What MMORPG/video games do you play?: The Witcher 2, Mount and Blade: Warband, Garry's Mod, Oblivion and Skyrim, some others I can't recall since I played them when I was a wee lad. Please provide screenshots of any medieval builds strictly you have built and a description of each: A nordic hovel, which has a smoke hole which lets the smoke flow freely out so it doesn't fill up the house, a neat little build that I'm quite proud of. I used reference pictures of real northern sodhouses/hovels to build this: http://imgur.com/dQI43qb,Td5quPt,GAVtO0s,0LDqovu,vuZP0s9,2N0rqxH,UZCYW77#0 This is a small townguard's tower, for a small project me, devland99 and _Sweetwater are working on, there's not much thought behind it, I just wanted to build a neat little tower that'd give the town a bit of character: http://imgur.com/TNWNY4r,aQcyjpR,rVMEHwJ,YdGCH2m,i9lFKr7,loqCDA2 Eh, this is a small fireplace and tent which belongs to a bigger build I've made recently, the ruined tower below. I'm personally not too happy about this one but I feel it's somewhat appealing and nice to sit by: http://imgur.com/6PyeYND,85r1xv1,bKDXqsG,XqOfsql,s2Q69YA This was supposed to be a troll cave, but I realized it was too small once I finished it and therefore changed it into a bear one, it's just something that I feel would be fun to explore and see whilst on the road: http://imgur.com/u2n6N1Z,4eq8lYX,jE80GZQ,jR5046v Then here's the possible Eastcliff expansion I made for Ryan Heff, which I am quite proud of: http://imgur.com/MTjH9en,YwkuMzO,Ku6AOVh,t6UgYkT,ICAsxfT,vxLzLY0,BuZeMls,ma0qSSl,26r4SDK,Lud9zna,X7NWHlf,DSzGtAR,wNPhhpF#0 Please provide an example of a decent sized ruin build (stone or otherwise): Right here's a newer ruin of mine based on a real one: http://http://bit.ly/1DA59z1 And this is basically an old sort of watch tower that got hit by a few trebuchet boulders, which made it break on one of it's sides. However, a few rocks and stones from the building itself flew inside and cracked down one of the floors. Now, most of the wood near the hole has started to rot, and after a while a notorious clan of bandits infested the tower, before the local army came and slaughtered them, making a warcamp by the ruin:http://imgur.com/M3DqDoA,FsX4TDO,KutIWiD,zEjmJJS,SGwueMQ,IljuY6X,oDx4kiQ,8JrE2gc,MsDPEn9 Please provide an example of terraforming: The screenshot is taken by a friend that uses shaders and the Conquest texture pack, and I did touch it up a notch with hand. And just as a note, it's much easier for me to actually work freely with my hands instead of using programs, I just don't enjoy it as much as building by hand: http://imgur.com/ta6B2yP Please provide an example of a organic build: The first tree is a basic willow tree with a muddy sort of swamp around it, the second one was just supposed to be a very simple oak tree: http://imgur.com/xw8ExWA,wtR83la,bXY88V5,nh6L5yQ,dS7htMs,czKHtef,SdmJNT7,H1rbuiK,PZbRUlh,D6WVT93,JLYsMoD Please provide an example of a High fantasy build: Here's a recent hobbit hole I built with the humble assistance of Cirdanoth: http://bit.ly/1HS3TO4 Then this is something I built for another server, which are basically beacon towers. I feel they could be used for orcs or desert elves, hence why I deem them to be a fantasy build: http://imgur.com/a/HzJmW3,JLYsMoD. Are you an independent builder, and are you capable of handling all aspects of a build?: I work well independently but I prefer working with others, since they can both give you feedback and help you a lot if you want to finish the build quickly. I also believe I am capable of handling all the aspects, but I personally think I need to improve my work on basic houses. Do you know much about redstone?: Not really, I had some sort of knowledge about it three or fours years ago when I built a redstone activated gate with one of my friends, but I've pretty much forgotten all of it. I'm willing to definitely look up more information on it. How long does it take for you to complete a build?: Depends very much on the size and detail of it, of course, smaller builds such as the northern hovel above takes me around 40-60 minutes whilst the bigger builds can take up to 5-10 hours if I work actively, unless we're speaking a palace or keep. Tell us how you plan on constructing a large build, a medium build, and a small build: For a large build, I'd definitely take a look at some reference pictures for support, then after that I would start to make the light base/skeleton for the build, before fleshing it out completely and going into minor details. I would most likely ask for some help from another staff member which has handled large builds before, for suggestions or straight up help with the actual build. As for a medium build, I am sure that I could build that independently, having a reference picture at the side along with some tips and tricks from co-workers. Just like above, I'd start with doing a basic structure before adding the minor details to them. I usually start on the walls and supports, and texture as I go, before adding all the minor details. And for smaller builds, I either make those up on the spot by just brainstorming, but sometimes I use reference pictures, it depends if I'm going for a random creation or a precise and realistic build based on historical realism. Additional details (Do you know how to Voxel? World Edit? Craftbook? Etc...): I've got some knowledge on world edit, but none about craftbook or voxel. I do not enjoy using programs or applications to build, I feel it makes me lazy even if it's said to be quicker, I much prefer building by hand, like mentioned above. However, I'd certainly be willing to learn about these programs. Tell me a trick about building (eg: floating torches, custom heads): Floating ladders. You pretty much just put place ladders onto blocks, then remove all of them except the top ones and there you have it, floating ladders, very useful to make a sort of tool rack or a ladder: http://imgur.com/Nk9SlD1,Qwqns5I Tell me what you want from the ET: I'd like to provide interesting and nice builds to role-play in or on, along with letting players explore and to allow them to make their own player ran events on builds, such as ruins, caves, crypts or mystical forests with hidden secrets or traps that have a small mechanical or role-playing challenge such as a parkour wall/staircase or an encryption key people would have to figure out, which would probably make players somewhat tense and hyped for the build as they delve deeper into it. I intend to stay on the ET for a decent while if I am accepted, and be an active member when I am not hindered by school or other IRL activities. I can usually dedicate about 3-5 hours each week day, and much more on week-ends.

SodaiKamikaze 652 Share Posted April 18, 2015 The builds look quite nice, though I'm not sure you would be able to work in a semi-professional setting like the ET. I'll have to give this a "Meh"

SodaiKamikaze 652 Share Posted April 18, 2015 It's not the builds that's the problem. It's more of your mentality when working with people you might have problems with. I'm not sure how the ET builds are run, so I cannot really say if that would be a issue.

lawnmowerman 3040 Author Share Posted April 19, 2015 UPDATE: I just built the expansion for eastcliff, and got _Sweetwater to take some nice shader screenies along with ryanheff to be a top notch model. http://imgur.com/MTjH9en,YwkuMzO,Ku6AOVh,t6UgYkT,ICAsxfT,vxLzLY0,BuZeMls,ma0qSSl,26r4SDK,Lud9zna,X7NWHlf,DSzGtAR,wNPhhpF#

Harri 4815 Share Posted April 19, 2015 Little mister Agurka. A lot of things to say about him. Let's talk builds though. The builds are great and detailed and look realistic, interesting, small/big when needed, filling up the right amount of space. I absolutely love his builds. Whether it be on LoTC making Halfling burrows for Heff, or on other servers making Pirate coves, whatever he does comes up great. On the building side of things, a big plus one from me. However, when it comes to co-operating with others... You can be a bit difficult at times. Whilst I will admit, you have improved your attitude as of late, there is still that lurking few problems you have. But, I think, that if you really push yourself to behave, you could keep yourself in line. So, I'm also going to give you a plus one for your compatibility to work with other in a build project or whatever, but that is a shaky plus one. Good luck friendo
