shortchangehero 4217 Share Posted May 31, 2015 Alright, so I've been brainstorming and working on a rough draft for some lore I have plans on posting (Hopefully get accepted/meet server standards). I don't want to post/give away what I got so far, as in my mind it'd spoil the surprise, and that's no fun. But I also want community/lore team feedback/help with certain questions I got for the lore. So, please, if you can answer any of the questions below or got any cool suggestions feel free to post on the topic: * Is story/folk legend lore allowed to be written? * Can you reference to an Aengul/Daemon, their goals, etc, but not specify into the Daemon itself (Name) them? Ex; "And the long forgotten Daemon had tried to {insert goal here}" * Any advice on how to get lore accepted, how to write, format, etc, etc?... * Any cool ideas/things in general you want to share? --- I hope these aren't stupid questions to ask or anything. I just like to get feedback on my work, as it almost always helps on improving it. ~Ggt
Pandan 1452 Share Posted May 31, 2015 * Is story/folk legend lore allowed to be written? * Can you reference to an Aengul/Daemon, their goals, etc, but not specify into the Daemon itself (Name) them? Ex; "And the long forgotten Daemon had tried to {insert goal here}" * Any advice on how to get lore accepted, how to write, format, etc, etc?... * Any cool ideas/things in general you want to share? 1) Very dependent upon context; if based on nothing but false 'lore' as in made up within RP then sure! Go ahead! Ensuring OOC validity requires slightly more explaining and stands a higher chance of being denied, if it interferes with already present lore or has no feasible explanation as to why its not existed until now. 2) Once again, dependent. If its very, very vague and hardly implicated within the lore than its more acceptable. However if you intend to make it a large part of your lore than further explanation would be needed. 3) Down to you! Fiction, non-fiction, character accounts, ooc explanations. Non fair better! 4) Get your own! Grr! Hope this answered your qualms!
Elindor 666 Share Posted June 1, 2015 More people need to be writing IC fables. Too much of writing lore becomes about some new weapon or animal or some other thing. What creates a rich tapestry of story for a Daemon or people group is when there's many stories of what they have done. So write legends. Record different takes on history. Tell us about the time that Iblees and Xan met in a parking lot. Stories that have no agenda are widely missing.
