So I am debating on which game to buy. Reign of Kings or Life is Feudal. I've heard both are similar in some aspects and not so similar in other.

The main argument that I have heard is that RoK is a lot faster paced than LiF and that for LiF you need a big group to do anything.

I know that a good deal of people on this server have one or the other. So what do you guys think?

Thanks for the feedback.

Life is Fuedal reminds me of Ultima online. Wonderful crafting system, the bag is even the same. I enjoyed playng it.

Edit: That being said, last time I palyed the loading screen took an hour. This was maybe two months ago

I've only played 5 hours of Life is Feudal, but I can already tell that it's much more fun to play with a group than solo. Three hours alone and I've just been able to set up a campfire and the essential tools, then again I'm a scrub.

Oh yeah, you can not solo life is fuedal.

Edit:

Right, I am free to say more than a few lines. I joined an rp server and I'll tell you of my experience that sort of sums of the game.

I joined the server, first thing I did was ask in global chat if anyone needs a worker. I am invited to a group who live far away from any of the main cities. I am assigned to be the lumberjack and carpenter of the group. I give the the lumber to the builder who builds our houses and huts. I am asked to use my carpentry to get barrels for the group, yet the blacksmith is not online to give me the iron bands needed. So I take my sling, as I am a noob, and make my journey to the nearest village.

I find a boar along the way, kill it with the sling, and collect its meat for my tribe for when I return. I reach the road( roads are all made by players, there is not a single thing not made by the players, and they increase walking speed on them) and begin making my way to the city, I meet a couple of people on the street rping as I go by. I reach the town and find the local blacksmith. He offers to give me the iron bands in exchange for chopping lumber. I take the deal and begin to work. He warns me, before I depart, of a war going on between the north and south, and he tells me to use caution on the roads.

I make my way back, along the road, and I am met by northern raiders. They brandish swords and armor, while I basically wear a sack and have a sling. They threaten me and attempt to try and take my iron bands I had worked very hard for. I decided **** that and shot my sling and ran. Me being in a sack and them armor I was able to run away and lose them in a forest. I return to my little village with the iron bands needed to make the barrels.

The main perk about Life is feudal is that it requires other people, it's mandatory. Yet this demand forces you to leave your hovel and go out, interact with people, and find fun and unique experiences along the way. I recommend finding an rp server because of this

I had fun, yet I can't play anymore because it takes forever to load. I'd also recommend Ark over Rise of Kings.
