How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I wanted to get into roleplaying and was googling for good roleplay servers to start out on.

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is playing the role of another, storytelling, or another term for acting.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using outside knowledge that your character wouldn't know while roleplaying.

What is powergaming?: Doing an action, usually powerful, that is unreasonable, and is almost like a command. An example is if someone punches you, and say "*insert name here* punched *insert name here* and killed him/her." It leaves no room for reason, and is very unrealistic.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: Atlas Verindecka

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 17

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Atlas has never had a true home. Abandoned by his drunken father when he was 9, he'd been forced to survive on his own, begging and scavenging, stealing only when it was a matter of life and death, and even then he hesitated. He hated stealing. He always tried to get jobs washing dishes in taverns and doing chores from the locals. He has been jumping from city to city his whole life, escaping the claws of death many times. He heard deaths of kings and wars, but never as more than rumors, and didn't involve himself with them. At least, not at first. As he grew older, the colder he became, but could never shake of his true self, for better or worse.

                   One day, after getting his latest meal, he decided to get some more work in a tavern. While sweeping, he saw a bunch of old knights come in, to talk of their latest battle. He overheard that King Andrik was assassinated! How had he not heard of this? Not only that, but they had waged war over it, and he didn't hear? He decided he probably did and tossed them aside as being the "rumors" he always heard. He began getting angry at himself. He wanted something more than this, hearing everything after it has happened. He wants to be a part of the world!  We now find him in a random alley in a city he didn't know the name of, trying to find sleep for the night, thinking about his life. He wants something more in his life than being a beggar! He needed something more. He decides that tomorrow he would do something with his life, something fantastic, at least, he hoped. Here is where we find this young man getting ready for his life to actually begin..

Personality Traits: Naturally friendly and trustworthy, but years of fighting to survive have left him cold.

Ambitions: Do something with his life!

Strengths/Talents: Clever and a fast learner.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Not physically strong at all.
