What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying  means to change one's behaviour in order to assume a role either in gaming or in a play. Basically, roleplay is similar, if not the same, to acting.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when you use knowledge from outside the game to influence the role of your character inside the game. For example, if you learn outside of the game of a sudden invasion your character cannot know that information magically.

What is powergaming?: Powergaming basically means taking action against an other player without giving him the chance to act on his defense. For example, I magically stop time for you so I can kill you.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: Thorburn  Grimbeorn

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):  

 

  Thorburn was born in 1490.  His parents abandoned him because they believed he was an accident.  He was placed outside a cave inhabited by amber wolves.However, instead of killing him, the amber wolves  raised Thorburn like one of their own.  He was given a high pain tolerance due to him constantly touching  the wolves' acidic skin. At the  age of 6, he was found by a traveller,  who took him to Atgaard. He raised him as his own son and gave him the name Thorburn. There he learned how to read and write, history, mining and crafting. He also took a liking for swordsmanship.When he was 8 years old he studied under the local blacksmith.He was able to make tools and weapons of decent quaity. At the age of 12, he left Atgaard and went to the city of Petrus, where  a retired bounty hunter named Sigurd Grimbeorn became his stepfather and gave him his surname.

 

  At Petrus he learned swordsmanship, battle tactics, math, science and literature.  During his senior year in school, the treaty between Oren and Urguan was signed. His father told him that he would go to the place where the final rules would be placed. He was informed that Sigurd died by a farmer. At the age of 18, he  helped guard the city of Petrus.  He revealed a large amount of spies and discoverd many weaknesses in a few battle formations. After that, he took up his father's job and became a bounty  hunter. He caught quite a few wanted men. At the age of 20 he started travelling. He watched a few battles between the Kingdom of Urguan and the Iron Uzg. He learned new techniques just by watching the war. He returned to Petrus after 2 years. At the age of 23 he left with a large number of people for the Isles of Vailor after a giant worm destroyed Athera.

 

Personality Traits : Despite looking tough on the outside, he has a good heart.He is compassionate and caring. He tends to be shy around friends or interests. However, he has a dark side that makes him violent and destructive towards anything he deems a threat

Ambitions: To find a country worthy to fight for, become a soldier of said country, use his skills for the greater good, to find a purpose

Strengths/Talents: Good fighting skills, excellent survival skills and high pain tolerance  from all the years he spent with the amber wolves, decent at crafting ,mining, forging and battle tactics

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Easily angered, overconfident, loses patience quite easily and is too wary of strangers from his guarding job
