I agree that artists deserve to be paid if they ask for payment. I, for one, like to practice my art because I'm 1000% a beginner and if people ask me for requests I'll do them for free, but thats because I don't even consider myself an artist. You have a degree and are working on a second and art seems to be your passion. You and other artists deserve to be paid for your hard work and talent.
