Alchemy lessons now available!

Forest-Alchemy.jpg

I, Elvira Mantisuku, is now willing to teach all the art of Alchemy. My lab is now finally completed and I am prepared to take on students and pass on the knowledge that many Alchemists have passed on for generations. Learn how to brew potions and concoctions that can help prevent deaths through healing potions, to potions and concoctions that can serve many different purposes such as warming potions.

Alchemy is a wonderful art to know, and can aid in many other arts such as healing.  It can be used to save lives, and most can make a living out of it. The lessons I teach are not just on brewing potions, but rather actually collecting the ingredients and to understand how Alchemy works. We will begin with the background to Alchemy, then the ingredients, before beginning to brew the simplest of potions,. From there, I will teach you all I know and once I see fit, I will declare you an official Alchemist.

I will be offering my teachings to anyone of any race, as long as they are not dark beings as such. However. I wish to let you know that the students I am looking for must follow my expectations, and will certainly follow them indeed:

  • Dedication - I want my students to be dedicated to learning Alchemy, not to turn up for one lesson then forget about the training. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend you to turn up for your lessons and to send me a bird whenever you want to carry on with your lessons. Having a student that abandons their lesson without warning will certainly annoy me.
  • Respect - The students I am looking for must be respectful towards me, I will not teach someone who is rude and insulting, or if they insult a topic I am sensitive about. Down in my lab, I am the teacher and you are the student. Not someone to be insulting.
  • Follow instruction - This is an exception I really want to see in my students. They must be ready to follow my instruction at all time. While Alchemy may be fun at times, it is extremely dangerous so I highly recommend following my instructions when need to. Do not touch something when I say don't. My instructions may just be the one thing that stops you from getting harmed. Or worse.
  • Be prepared to work in a stressful/dangerous environment - Alchemy can be highly stressful and dangerous at times, whenever you are out collecting ingredients to brewing a potion. You will be working in my lab where the temperature can get hot due to the cauldrons, and there will be times where your potion will begin to go wrong and you need to fix it. Therefore, be prepared to work in this environment and remain calm. I will be there to help you also.

If interested, I can be contacted through bird and when I do receive your message, I will arrange to meet you outside the wood elf city and lead you to my lab. Additionally, I live by the wood elf city so feel free to approach me and request the lessons if you see me around. I'm quite a noticeable person, a woman clad in grey with blonde hair, and a faint scar that covers half of her face.

Thank you and I look forward to teaching you!

- Elvira Mantisuku

"I would like to learn about alchemy. Money is not an object. What further steps do we need to take?"-A

A grey kestrel would arrive to A with a note from Elvira.

"To this A person,

The next step we need to take is to meet and I will show you my lab. From there, we will begin your lessons. If possible, meet me at the city of Laurelin and I will lead you to my lab. Also, I would appreciate if you included your name on the letter, I would like to know who my student will be - Elvira."

"I wish to learn the alchemic arts of alchmeh... Is it okay I wear a skull on my head??? It makes me feel safe."

Elvira reads the note once or twice, tilting her head. Her face filled with pure confusion. She shrugs and takes her quill before writing down her response.

"Hello, firstly I would like to say it's spelled 'Alchemy', not 'Alchmeh'. Also... you wear a skull on your head to feel safe? Um... okay... I am not sure what background there is to this but... I am sorry to say this but could you not wear the skull, please? While I know you want to feel safe, I don't feel comfortable teaching a student who has his or her face covered. I would like to see my student's face. However, I can assure you that you will be safe in my lab, no one will hurt you and I will make sure no harm will come to you whatsoever. If possible, meet me at the city of Laurelin and I will lead you to my lab. Also, I would appreciate if you included your name on the letter, I would like to know who my student will be - Elvira."

Elvira would finish the letter and hands it to her kestrel. The bird kees and would soar out of the window to deliver the letter. The Alchemist leans back in her chair and sighs. rubbing her forehead. "Welp. I suppose there's always that one strange student... hopefully he will be a good student."

Elvira would walk by the board and notices the note. She takes the note and examines it closely. She then sighs. "I guess this person doesn't have a bird that can carry this note to me... best to have one, or else I probably wouldn't have known they wanted the lessons..."

With that said, the Alchemist turns on her heels and carries on her way home. A letter would soon be sent to BB by a grey kestrel with three tail feathers.

"Dear BB,

I have received your note and I am happy to take you in for the lessons. You do not have to reside in the same city as myself, although I do recommend being prepared to travel to the city. Also, you are an enchanter? My, that's quite an art to learn, I don't study in that art much but it's quite fascinating and I know it is quite a unique art to know. I have a friend who once enchanted a weapon for me, and I still have that weapon with me to this very day. Now, if possible, meet me at the city of Laurelin and I will lead you to my lab.

I hope this letter finds you in a safe condition, and safe travels,

Elvira Mantisuku.

P.S: I recommend getting a bird. It makes it easier for myself and others to receive your letters, as placing them on the board can lead to them getting blown away or damaged by the weather. I am sure there's some sellers who are selling messenger birds around Vailor."

Aeron tied the letter carefully to Mordekai's leg. The young crow looked remarkable for a breed that held such a stigma. Of course, the doctor had grown very fond of them in such a short time.

"Fly my friend. Be sure she gets our message..."

The wind gave beneath his wings as the blackened avian took to the skies to deliver Aeron's message. Soon, it would arrive within the city limits of Laurelin and Miss Mantisuku would receive the request written in his hand.

Miss Mantisuku,

I was very pleased to hear of your classes in Alchemy. I have been a Doctor for some time and medicine has been a keystone for my education. However, the properties of Alchemy have proven to have capabilities beyond even what I can do.

I would be honored to learn from you if there are available positions at your lab. This would be the greatest opportunity afforded to me since arriving in Vailor and cannot express how hopeful I am to receive the chance. As it is with medicine, the art of Alchemy seems to have an ethereal element capable of saving more lives than the medical discoveries of our time. This is all without mention to properties outside of just healing.

At your earliest convenience, I hope to receive your reply. Mordekai is a very remarkable crow and will wait as long as you need in order to return. Take your time and send him home with your scroll when you are ready.

Respectfully,

Doctor Aeron Roarke
