Ser Garahel sends a messenger raven south to Felsen, directed to King Olivier. The letter is neatly written on crisp parchment, stamped with a blue wax seal and the falcon and star sigil of House Varodyr.

 

 

 

"To His Majesty, King Olivier I Ashford de Savoie, King of Oren, Lord of Men and Elves,

 

What are we without the most base notions of chivalrous and honourable behaviour ruling our society? I will not stand idle, whilst honourless dogs claiming to wave their banners in the name of just rule march upon the capital to put an end to a righteous man with convictions unbent. I pledge Saltstone-by-the-Sea, and my banners, however small they may be, to ye. I will not sit idle as the Sarkozic blackguards, those same men who wronged and fought against my father, King Maric, threaten to tear asunder the Heartland and drive her people from their rightful lands. It is they who shall be driven into the sea, for treachery shall never be granted clemency.
