I was talking to Oren Recruitment Officer Hayden (hayden34666) and he told me of the old Oren rangers. I had asked him if it still exists, but he told me it didn't. I would like to ask if the rangers could be brought back. I think it would add a certain spin to the game, especially with the skills update. Ex: A ranger wouldn't be as good a shooter as an archer, but better in melee, and a ranger would be better in shooting than a guard, but not as good in melee. Rangers would be a more versatile unit, used for scouting and what not. Also, bringing back this unit would make rangers more formalized, instead of little guilds popping up everywhere proclaiming to be rangers. Could we bring back the ranger unit for the city of Al'Khazar? Thanks. (Oh and btw, the title for that unit used to be Oren_Ranger. They will report to Captain Felix and will be lead by a Ranger Lieutenant, with two Ranger Sergeants reporting to him. Anyone wishing to register, speak to Recruitment Officer Hayden. Just putting that out there :idea: ) In my way of thinking Rangers aren't the defenders of cities with walls (As guards but they can assist if needed but not the only protection) but they are the Defenders of the helpless against Bandits and Undead. LeftClick 40 Share Posted September 3, 2011 Rangers will be paid, the training will run on an Apprentice system, and the Rangers will collaboratively share everything they pick up from bandits, using small portions to repair their arms and armor. @Raffus: What? LeftClick 40 Share Posted September 3, 2011 To become an apprentice ranger, you will need to be able to use a stone sword, and be somewhat trained (20+) in wrestling and the bow and arrow. To become a full ranger, you must demonstrate mastery of the diamond sword (Swords 45+), skills with the bow and arrow, (30+) and be strong, which will be developed by training in wrestling (30+).
