What is roleplaying?: When you take on the role of someone/something else, you control them and how they feel. 

What is metagaming?: Using information you acquired out of character, in character.

What is powergaming?: Essentially roleplaying for someone else, not giving them a chance to react. Usually used when it comes to combat in roleplay.

Character’s name: Nathan Marbury

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 27

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): 

                A baby boy arrived on a hot day in 1494, to a couple in Werdenburg. The duo however, were a bit surprised when they noticed their new child had a blue eye and a brown eye.

He seemed perfectly healthy besides that, so they shrugged it off and welcomed the new child into their home. Two boys, one 3 the other 5, greeted their new brother with open arms.

 

                As the child grew, he gained both friends and enemies in the town. A certain group of children would tend to pick on other kids. Nathan always tried to help his fellow kids in trouble, as he never liked seeing others in pain. Once he reached age 10 a few of the bullies had had enough, shoving him out of sight of the adults and holding him down onto the ground, forcefully shoving dirt into his blue eye.

 

                They laughed, saying to him,"Now they'll match!" Only seconds later a few concerned parents who had overheard screaming had rushed over. Bringing the screaming child inside, his parents hurriedly poured water onto his eye, trying to wash out the dirt before any damage was done. After they had thought they got the earth out of Nathan's eye they asked him if he could properly see out of his eye. To their dismay he squinted, answering,"Kind of... It's really blurry." 

 

                 Once he reached age 16 he found some dusty books his father had, a few on wild life. Finding himself fascinated he read the books over and over. All of it was so new and interesting compared to the boring animals in the farming town. He looked around the town, realizing how mundane it all was. Nathan wanted more, he knew there was a rather large city called,"Petrus" and he needed to go there as soon as he could.

 

                 At age 19 he left home, intent on getting to Petrus. Once he made it to the city he spotted a clothing store, he walked into the shop and walked back out with a bit less gold and an eye patch. Ashamed of his mis-colored eyes he wore the patch, feeling a bit more confident once his cloudy blue eye was covered.

                 Only weeks after making it to the large city news came of a giant worm, desperate to get to the new land he gathered what he had and made his way to the nearest dock. Once on the large ship he desperately gazed about, looking for his family members. The ship set sail and his family was nowhere to be found. After a rather long trip he stumbled off the ship once they had hit land, on the verge of vomiting as he had done so multiple times on the ship. He glanced around, looking for his siblings or parents. Having not seen either he stuck near the docks for weeks, hoping to see a familiar face.

                After stealing enough food for survival, near the docks, he finally gave up looking for them. Walking away from the dock and trying to forget about the ones he loved, he wandered and still wanders looking for a place where he belongs.

 

Personality Traits: Sarcastic when feeling uncomfortable, Somewhat manipulative, and Brave.

Ambitions: To learn more about the creatures that inhabit the world and to fill the gap his family left.

Strengths/Talents: Hand-to-hand combat, Reading, and a bit of a "Golden Tongue".

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Gets cold easily, can't see well out of one eye, magic.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): About 5'5 and 141 pounds, he has unkempt, dark brown hair. A brown eye and a 

glazed over blue eye, a patch covering the blue eye. An average, white shirt and grey-brown pants, almost always wears a grey coat.
