The Garrison of Summerhall

Brief History

With the Siege of Barrowyk led by Lord d’Amaury left behind, and the sudden rise of Summerhall in it’s place, it was only natural that a force rise to occupy and defend it. Whilst the Honour Guard roam the rest of the Lord’s land, the Garrison stand strong along the walls of the Summerhall.

 

Role in Amaury

The role of the Garrison is to keep order in and around the keep of Summerhall, defend it from attackers and raiders, and to aid in anything else the Lord may need done around the town or keep. Whether that be upkeep, escorting visitors or keeping the peace, the Garrison carry out the Lord’s wishes without question.

 

Ranks

 

Recruit: The Recruits are the new members of the Garrison’s forces, members who have yet to show their mettle and ability off to the higher members of the force. As they prove themselves in training and around Summerhall, they’ll be promoted and rise the ranks.

 

Footman: The Footmen are the generic soldiers of the force - the heart and soul. These men have proven their loyalty and skill to their superiors, earning them their place in the Garrison. Footmen are provided with a place to store their belongings and somewhere to sleep - as well as full access to the facilities at their disposal.

 

Disciplinary: The Disciplinarians are soldiers who have shown an aptitude for leading, as well as being one of the toughest there is at the Garrison’s disposal. They are tasked with keeping soldiers trained in the Casterllor’s absence and making sure they follow orders to the letter - or else they may distribute what they see as a suitable punishment.

 

Elite: The Elite’s are soldiers who have come on and off of the battlefield multiple times, proving successful each and every time they perform. Normally full of themselves, they’ve earned the right to be - they are not a force you want to reckon with. These are men you look to for guidance in battle or combat (in the absence of a commander).

 

Castellan: The commander of the Garrison and the man in charge of the keep in the Lord’s absence. He leads the forces into battle, commands them around the keep and makes sure they’re suitable to server Lord d’Amaury in whatever he may need.
