I've seen chainmail going from anywhere from 100 per piece to 1000. Since you can repair it now, it's become more popular. I myself like the look of it.

Some folks also sell it 'per material'. Like it takes 8 fires to make a chestplate (if you had the fire), so they sell it for ##minas per block it would take. In that price structure, a chest is 2x the price of boots, etc.
