So that you can stop getting a million notifications that you don’t care about!

 

Aim

This will allow you to modify what you get notifications for on the new forums. You can outright remove all notifications, have them for posts you choose, for all posts you post, or all the posts your friends make!

 

Procedure

First you must click on the notifications ball thing!

 

Then! One should click on the cog + ‘Notification Settings’

 

The first couple boxes ask you what you want auto-notifications for!

• You can auto-follow threads you post!

• You can auto-follow threads you post on!

• Or neither… (unchecked both)

 

The circles ask you how you want to be notified!

• A facebook like number on the notifications ball?

• An email p/day with every notification listed!

• An email p/week with every notification listed!

 

Remember to save!

 

Then you have a list of other things you can get notifications for…

• You can set to have notifications on the ball thing.

• You can set to have notifications by email specified above…

• Or you can set both!

• Or neither!

 

Save again!

 

Important things are like this one! To stop getting millions of friends notifications…

 

If you don’t want any news mail (like the newsletter which happens now and then) uncheck the very first box!

 

 

Conclusion

You are no longer being bombarded by notifications! You can also organise and find out things you want to find out about as soon as they come out!
