For new breeders: You will need 3 items in order to get started an 2 horses.

The golden carrots are used to breed the 2 horses , the wheat (60 will do aswell) to feed the foal. Once you feed the foal , pick an empty slot of your hotbard to ride it. Note that if you are holding something , the horse wont let you ride it. Once you  tamed the horse , you can use the Training Stick to unclaim it (This is helpful if you have too many horses since breeders can have a limited claimed horses). One more importand thing is that once you claim and then unclaim the horse , only you can claim it back but be aware that anyone can ride unclaimed horses so you better have them inside a fenced area(Will describe the ideal fenced area).

Your number of claimed pets will get increased as you progress into breeding. For example , aengulic breeders can have up to 5 pets. Wolfs count as pets aswell.

Proper fenced area for horses:

So as you can see in the picture , the ideal blocks for a horse would be 4x4 , more space if you want to store more horses. The walls can be any material you wish but the ground needs to be grass blocks(!) and also you should add some hay bales around(!). Failing to do so will cause your pet to dispawn since it needs food. The hight should be 3 blocks as the horse counts for 2 blocks and the ride for the 3rd block. Be aware that if its 2 blocks high , you might die from suffocation(walls OP).

Training Stick usage:

The training stick can be used to claim/unclaim a pet but also to tranfer the pet to someone else. Firstly , right clim the horse twice with the training stick in order to unclaim it. Later on , if you want to claim it back , choose the training stick and right click it. You will automaticaly ride the horse and BAAM its claimed.

Now to tranfer the pet to someone else , simply right click the pet and then right clich the person you want to transfer it.

For breeders now , you will notice that you might still keep the tranfered pet in your /pets view list. Dont panic cause its a known bug. If you click the pet in the /pets view list , it will teleport to you despite that someone else owns it. If you try to release it(The command is /pets free (id) ), it will pop up red letters saying that an error occured . The only way to get ride of it is to wait a server restart or crash. After that , the pet will vanish from your pets list and you will be free to claim another one. Now the new owner must make sure that he still owns the pet because there is a highly chance that the pet got unclaimed(Bug). Just get a training stick and re-claim it.

Pets call command:

In order to teleport your horse to you , you need first to type /pets view (id) and then /pets call (id) and the horse will come to you or you can simply click on the ID from /pets view. Now this command doesnt always work and i will explain why. If you wander off into the wilds an you soulstone away , the chances of teleporting your horse to you are below 0 if you were alone and thats because that area isnt loaded anymore. Lordbobby: "Well you know how minecraft is split into areas that a player loads when they enter it, there is no one near you horse so the area isn't loaded so you can't tp it to you" . So make sure you keep your horse close to you and do not use soulstone unless someone is close to it.

Commands:

/pets view (id)

/pets call (id)

/pets free (id)

If you aren't a breeder and you find a wild horse is the training stick the way to claim it or do you have to have claimed it before?

If its a wild horse, you can tame it like the normal way. Ride it until it shares the love.

But if the said wild horse have been claimed in the past and now is unclaimed, the stick wont work on it.

Only the person who unclaimed it, can re-claim it again.

The training sticks work for everyone, not just breeders.
