What is roleplaying?: When you act out a character as though you are that character, such as emoting and talking as that person.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when someone acts out of character in RP chat, such as saying something that your character wouldn't have known. Like if you met someone for the first time you wouldn't know their name.

What is powergaming?: The act of providing roleplay that makes you far stronger than you should be and to the disadvantage of the other players.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’tcontradict history.):

Abby didn’t know her parents as they died when she was young. Abby's mum gave birth to her but soon after the giant worms attacked Athera and destroyed her home and killed Maya Jewel, Abby's mother. Her father, on the other hand, had died in the human civil war. Abby was alone and vulnerable. Although her Uncle, a kind and generous man, had offered to raise her as he was the only family member left. He taught her to fish, farm, bake and brew. He looked after her when she was sad about her parents; he cuddled her when she was crying. Abby was finally safe. Being a wood elf was fun except the fact that they were under the human empire of Oren, which she learned to hate.

On her 20th birthday her Uncle, Fresia Mark Jewel, gave Abby her very own horse. Abby would ride her horse every day from then on. One day she wondered home on her pony and sat down to talk to her uncle, he said he wasn’t well and that he didn’t have much time left. She didn’t know that was the last time she would ever see him again. Fresia went to bed one night and never woke up. Was Abby alone again? Or was this just fate?

Abby had decided to move to a city called Laureh'lin in Vailor, and re-build her life. She wanted to make her parents and her uncle proud of her; and that’s what she did.

Strengths/Talents: I'm ambitious, loyal and proud.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: I get very shy when asked questions.

Great application so far! Though just a tweak needs to be made:

Make sure that you contain more references to the lore, such as the place your character grew up in, or where he/she has traveled to or aspires to go to. Also, try including more historical things that your character could have witnessed (like the giant worm attack in Athera!) - check out the wiki if you need to.
