Gold is near useless anyway. I don't understand why things like resource integrity and mob spawning, basically the core of the game needs to be tampered with. Gold makes staffs so it is important but why do we need a more valuable resource to mine a less valuable resource? I'm sorry Vaquxine but that makes no sense. You need a gold pickaxe to mine diamond and with this new patch we also need diamond to mine gold. So if we don't have diamond, how can we get diamond? We can't just mine gold and make gold pickaxes to mine the diamond with our iron pickaxes because we need diamond to get gold and gold to get diamond. Basically what I'm saying is that, if we don't have either gold or diamond then can't get gold or diamond without buying it from someone else. This is really annoying for miners. For a new player, in order to get an axe, he requires wood, correct? But how can he get wood (( no pun intended )) without an axe? Not that big of a deal for a person who came in before the update, but after it... :| i like it. gave me an "oh oh so poor poor, cant change anything in tha world.." start. in other words, made me look out first, and get rp before doing anything physical. its essential part of the rp, i think! to the iron fro iron, diamond for diamond etc: yes, its good too. with it, you cant just randomly start over of nothing anywhere anytime. you must *plan* an advanced society to have these things without them running out by single incidents. i lost all my irons at one moment, due to lagzombie. surely, annoying setback. but at least, taught me how mighty lagzombies can be. i didnt expect a zombie to kill me by few hits when i were full health and armour, so yeh... rationally, approached it for an easy kill.. which turned out into disastrous lag blow. Vaq works so hard! maybe in Aegis gold is harder as ore becasue its mixed with other substances which are lost in smelting! theres no magic RL either, so you cant say Aegis is 100% RL the new system means that resources will cost more, and the economy may actually benefit! stop moaning! Garn 14 Share Posted September 4, 2011 The new system is fine. You can be pretty good at a weapon or craft in a day or two but it should take weeks of this game to master. And this is aegis gold not earth gold cannot use the same logic or physics. Aegis gold is used for making magic staves and gold armor has slightly more durability than iron.
