Due to the Imperial laws of succession and the principle of jure uxoris, the Duke’s titles have thus been passed on to His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor. With as many tasks as an Emperor has, he does not have the means to directly rule over Lorraine. His Imperial Majesty has thus elected to grant the title of Duke of Lorraine to one of his sons upon their coming of age.In the meantime, since the Duchy of Lorraine cannot be left without governance, His Imperial Majesty has decided to appoint his cousin Godwine Horen as Regent of Lorraine. Godwine Horen will be assuming this position and its powers immediately.
