Taeleh sands before the citizens of the Citadel, once more he speaks;

"So languishes our library— day by day. The one by the name of Riondil Seni has challenged the Tilruir'indor— and for three elven days the Tilruir'indor has been silent. Given his refusal, or inability to accept or decline the challenge— it moves to the Maheral and Council"

“The choices are plain. To accept him immediately, or to hold an election in which one may abstain, nullifying anyone as Tilruir'indor, or vote for the challenger"

He finally states;

"Refusal to replace the challenged indor is an affront to our Republican Ways— it would harken back to the corruption of Jupiter. The election must begun".

"Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya".

"The ascension of Riondil would only serve to prove the ineffectiveness of the republican ways which you laud, Taeleh." Laethis shakes his head in evident disdain, his lips curled into a taut frown. "We shall let the Maheral grant his verdict."

Would reply with disdain:

"And so we find the origin of Jupiter's violent authoritarian state. He who did mould Jupiter— one Laethis Izalith. You, fine elf, hold no office of reverence— for you are the Tilruir'mali. Servant of Elves and Haelun'or. So it is your duty to serve Haelun'or, and its laws in their entirety. It is not you place to threaten that which has led our people for generations"

"Kaean evar'lar".

"If you believe I require a title of reverence to assess the ineffectiveness of the vote, then your foolishness exceeds even my expectations. I perform my role, and well at that, yet my efforts would be better suited without its constraints. I am the servant of elves, and you the servant of none, for I was trusted while you were not. It would be wise that you do not forget."

"...Is it not the duty of the council to put forth the electoral ultimatum, as opposed to a governor of a township across the bay?"

Kelthran finally asks, after a brief pause, and takes the stand.

"Do not make fools of yourselves to argue here. You are both correct, in your own ways, but one should seek to prove their system works through action - as opposed to publicly bicker about it. If the people do not feel that Riondil Seni is qualified or ready for the position, and choose to abstain, they are entitled to their opinion. An empty stomach is healthier than one filled with poison, after all. As for the Tilurir'Mali. Your gloating does you little justice as a leader. We voted for you out of longing for the times past; the great progression found upon our initial journey to this continent, but we have instead picked up where we left off... argument and paranoia while the fields run red with the blood of Mali sacrificed in foreign wars."

He cleared his throat, frowning deeply.

"The Elves who were here before, throughout Anthos and The Fringe, for the cities past... I hope I do not misspeak for them when I say we long for what we once had. The city was not always a web of political spiders as it is now, and assassinations and anonymous political cries were once few and far between. Even our initial arrival to this continent - a time that many of our newer members look to fondly - was a mere shadow of our times past.

Progress has stopped. The city is unhealthy, and unclean. The blood of Mali flows through the fingers of their brothers in the darkest corridors of this new silver prison - and many fear even to speak to our current council out of fear of ridicule, or worse, imprisonment. I thought that, in forming The Visionaries of Larihei, I would put a stop to this nonsense. Drive us backwards to a point in which we could once more take pride in calling ourselves Mali'aheral. That thought was rife with arrogance; and instead of cleaning the city's governance of the sludge in which our councilors wallowed, I have only served to replace their inactive reign with more of the same. Our culture lays at our feet in shambles, and we remain too mired in stagnation to so much as acknowledge it."
