What is roleplaying?: Where you take the role of a character different from yourself in a fantasy environment.

What is metagaming?: Acting on information that you know but your character does not know.

What is powergaming?:  Attacking or forcing an action a player without giving them a chance to react to it. Also, in lotc specific terms, performing an action in rp style combat where it automatically succeeds.

Character’s name: Faelon Wyvergale

Character’s sex: Male

Character’s race:  High Elf

Character’s age: 52

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):                                Faelon was born in a village on the outskirts of  Annil’sul in Athera. His parents where supporters of the silver enclave that fled when it was overthrown. Life was good for his family, that is, until Faelon grew to the age of 6. His parents were slaughtered by an unknown group of bandits in front of Faelon, yet somehow Faelon survived. He was found by an alchemist high elf who was a friend of his parents. The alchemist decided to take Faelon in. Unfortunately all was not right with young Faelon. The sight of his parent’s murder was too much for him. He began to have nightmares every night and he would not eat or drink anything. The alchemist decided that there was only one thing he could do. He crafted a aucarum apple to remove the memory that haunted Faelon. Faelon, though, lost the memories of his entire life before eating the apple. After that the alchemist raised Faelon like he was his own son, though he never hid that he was not Faelon’s true father. It would be years later before he told Faelon his parent’s fate.

The alchemist taught Faelon about high elven superiority, which Faelon at the time took as the truth. It was the early years with the alchemist that Faelon acquired his interest in arcane magic. Something about the unworldly power interested him. The alchemist had large collection of books on the arcane arts. He read what books the alchemist would let him read. Even though he was not allowed to read the books that went in depth on magic he learned many things about the arcane arts. Faelon was 35 when he decided he wanted to explore the outside world that he had never seen. The alchemist allowed him to go and fashioned an oak walking stick and a fine green cloak for Faelon to wear on his journey. Faelon bid the alchemist farewell and went to explore the world. Unfortunately less than a year later the giant worm forced Faelon to take his journeys elsewhere. He fled with the rest of the people of Athera to Vailor. This new land, however, provided him a great place to explore. For the next seventeen years of Faelon’s life he wandered from place to place, helping those in need. With every person he met his old belief of high elven superiority faded until he completely rejected the idea that any race was better than any other. Faelon grew kinder after this revelation. He learned archery and swordsmanship during this period of his life as well, although he is much more skilled with a simple staff.

Personality Traits: Honorable, Curious, Ambitious, Calm Minded, Nomadic. Kind

Ambitions: To become a powerful mage, to explore the farthest corners of the world.

Strengths/Talents: Quick Learner, Knowledgeable of arcane magic. Skilled with staves(non-magic) in combat.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Underestimates opponents often . Does not get along with “traditional” high elves.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): 6’4 tall and 160-ish pounds. Also white hair with green eyes.
