Elves are meant to be Old. Very old, and if they can get to around 5000 years to reach 40 years old in looks, then, probably 288 years to train is least. Read some Eleven 'if they were real' things.

Oh I know Elves are long lived (not that I would go that long lived) because I don't know how that'll clash with any lore or whatever, but I just mean those giant leaps in time seem so drastic considering the events that are taking place. It's like putting toast in only to wait 20 years to eat it.

I agree with Ezareth. The numbers do seem hugely exaggerated, even past the fact that I am an elf as well.
