"Alh fhingz muzt bearh da weight ov da Uzg's needz."

A clan is incomplete until they find the beast that will come to work and die beside them. Animals are often said to be brought to each clan through the invisible workings of the spirits. Upon this notion, a strong bond is formed between each Uruk and their mount. They will often live and perish together as one. In the instance of the Raguk clan, it was the Myrzym that was said to be bestowed upon them.

The Myrzym

The Myrzym are towering creatures that greatly resemble Mammoths. Usually they have very little hair as the scorching heat of the Uzg is far too intense. Instead, they have developed flesh of a deep brown or grey hue to ward against the burning sun. There is very little across Vailor that threatens the Myrzym, but those that do are met with a piercing ivory tusk.

Thundering through the sands of the Uzg, the Myrzym heave great amounts of stone and ore for the clan. The Raguk recognise these enormous entities as representations of everything the clan stands for. They are immovable, unshakable beings of pure will and raw strength. They carry the burdens of the Uzg and are deterred by no other beast.

Displays of strength and wealth are extremely important within Raguk culture, and it is considered an honour to one's mount to adorn them in jewels and paints when they are taken out of Raguk lands. Usually, Myrzym are painted in hues of all powders available. They are marked with symbols of strength and will, and most importantly clad in beautiful, expertly crafted jewelry of golds and platinum's

When Myrzym die, the "owner" will utilise every part of the corpse. The meat is sent off to feed his clansmen, and the leather and bones are utilised for weaponry. Finally, -and most importantly- the ivory is collected and fashioned into a mask, of which the Raguk will wear for a week of mourning. Any Uruk may choose to keep this permanently, or carve it into jewelry in honour of his or her's fallen companion.

Wud sheds buckets of ology tears, being unable to fight atop his much-larger-than-average Myrzym due to his captivity in FiatLux's dingy, grimy basement. He had to sit through hours of class secretary rehearsals, and jack and the bean stalk character profiles. Oh how he yearned to be reunited with 'Twiggikruncha.'
