Chapter I:

”The Highlander Rebellion”-

Spoiler

At this time, the house of Stark was lead by a man named Edward the Second, he was raised in a small barony outside Idunia, neighboring the barony of the Campbells. During this time, heir apparent Edward, and his good friend Thrai of the Campbells were raised closely. Together they mastered the horse, the sword, and the bow.

Over time the two had both set their eyes on the same girl, Freya Brae. By the time the two were grown, both having taken leadership of their respective clans, Owyn Ulgaard’s rebellion had set in, taking the land by storm. The two fought on the lines against the Highlander rebels together, but to no avail.

One fateful night, Thrai, Freya, and Edward all met together within a local grove. Thrai had demanded Freya make a decision about who she loved, and she chose Edward. Engulfed in a fury of Adunian rage, Thrai drew his family’s ancestral Claymore, and struck Freya down. A heated battle between the two ensued, until the point when few villagers showed up and intervened. Dragging the bloodied men apart, ending the fight in a draw. The next time they would meet would be less than pleasant, Thrai pledging his clan to Owyn. And Edward having retreated to the safety of Idunia.

Edward Ilesca leads a band of thirty Stark warriors through the hellish siege of Idunia, with their long-time allies the Campbell’s bolstering the ranks of Owyns army, leading them through the hidden tunnels into the city. As Campbell chief Thrai, backed by eighteen Campbells and ninety-seven Highlander rebels charge out of one of the tunnels Edward II spots them, screaming a fierce battle cry and charging in to meet Thrai and his host in combat.

Fierce battle ensued, Edward splitting Thrai in half with his massive Claymore. With this action the Starks rally, pushing back the invaders and slaying all of the Campbell traitors. In that portion of the battle alone the Starks lost twenty warriors, and by then it was too late. The gates had been raised by other Highlander forces, forcing Edward to push a retreat. Their forces regrouped with a band of survivors led by Elendil, and together the leaders of all the remaining clans pushed their way out of the city via the underground tunnel ways.

Chapter II:

“The Torchbearer’s”-

Spoiler

The era of the Torchbearer’s, through recent times the blood of Stark has grown thin. Carried on only by a select few, never more than three Starks alive at any given time. This era begins with Kinra Stark, who alone brought the family through Asulon, to Anthos. Disliked by many, and loved by few. Some say she was at least partially raised by Saint Godwein “The Ill” Stafyr.” Who cared for her, and brought her into his family.

Kinra, in her life, gave birth to three children of different fathers, and raised at least one more. Yana Stafyr, born to Farley Stafyr, and kept from her mother much of the time as she was allowed only visitations. Lily Baelish, child of Daniel Baelish, it is said she died too young. Henry Stark, bastard of Alexander Valois, he rejected his father's name and chose to be the next Stark torchbearer. He had dreams of rebuilding the family, that would never come to fruition.

Lastly Kinra raised a child named Torrah Campbell, who was actually born McHarnish. When she was a child the Campbell’s kidnapped her from her father Caln, who was an enemy to the now large clan’s cause. However, because the Campbell treated the child with care, she chose them over her true family. And adopted her false name as her own. They say it was a Campbell man, who had originally sewn her fabled  red teddy bear, which was given life by The Wizard Blundermore.

Henry Stark married a beautiful woman named Serenity Winter, princess of the Kingdom of Herendul, up until it dissolved into an arch-duchy. Together they had a child, known as Cecily Hel’ Stark. To be the next Torchbearer in the line.

She was an innocent lass, up until the age of seven, when her parents both disappeared. Cecily, outcast into a world where no one would care for her, set off with no other then her precious heirloom teddy bear, her dalmatian Aramis  and her mother's tiara. Cecily wondered the north alone, until she came upon the destroyed township of her extended family, the de Silvarois. People she had admired greatly. Alone she delved into the ruins of the town, passed the great wall of ice and into their keep. There she found the pack of Auvergenian dalmatian’s. The relatives of her dear Aramis, as she had purchased the dog from de Silvarois. Cecily trained these animals, and led them herself into the next realm.

Together with her dogs Cecily lived alone in the wilds of the Fringe. Eventually she settled in a small area deep in the rock walls outside the human capital. She built her own house out of rags, broken wood, rocks, and lots of broken toys she had scavenged from the local villagers. Slowly growing insane, she built houses for her dogs. Began giving them titles, naming her little kingdom, “The Queendom of Cecily.” With the toys she divided the small grass area’s into duchies and counties. Where she named her dogs “Duke” and “Royal Baker.” As well as a guard force of war dalmatian which very begrudgingly wore metal hats strapped to their collars.

As her time alone grew, so did her insanity. She became a religious fanatic, living in the holy scripture. She worshipped a religious text given to her by Raigeki Kato. Once she was caned by a priest, who broke her jaw. Luckily a kind cleric who was passing through mended her injury, but the damage set in to her mental state. Cecily became a pacifist, to the point where when she did eventually hit someone, she cried to herself for days on end. She convinced herself the Orener church was evil, and created her own sect that was set in moderation, generosity, and kindness. Which was a tad ironic, given the young girl had inherited Kinra’s temper.

By the age of twelve they had moved to yet another realm, here she met her future. Her dogs had not survived the move, and she was despaired. Alone with Abby, her teddy bear, she set off to teach herself to be a great healer. She joined an academy, and learned lessons from an old man by the name of Mark, as well as a man named Aphoros. One team, even learning an important lesson from the queen of the Kharajyr. Or at least what was their equivalent of a queen, as far as she was told.

In time Cecily met her mentor, Cheza. Who she swore as a blasphemous heathen. Still, she bonded with this heathen, and despite being called heathen every five minutes, Cheza adored this small student of hers. Over the years Cecily developed her skills, moving once more to the realm of Athera. She eventually moved to Petrus, settling there for the rest of her life. When she was twenty she enlisted in the Chivay Imperial Army, as a medic. She did her job diligently, earning the praise of the most skilled Oren doctors. Though in time quit, due to sexism, and founded her own clinic where she remained over the years. Becoming a master of the clerical healing arts.

Chapter III:

“Ilesca”-

Spoiler

One night, in a drunken stupor, Cecily felt the sin of lust. And for the first time, bedded a man who was just as drunk as she was. An adunian man, with blond hair who smelled of dank smoke and alcohol. And in this union came an accidental child, the man had disappeared the next morning, leaving the issue to Cecily alone. Cecily, traditionally being more into females, disgusted the male race even further.

Cecily birthed a child named Maevis, whom spent her first many years being raised by her mothers strict noble standards. Her mother however, would not last. She was a depressed woman, ailed by many mental illnesses beyond medicine. When Maevis was twelve, she drank herself to death. Maevis burying her mother in the backyard of their mansion, the largest in Petrus, now a massive dwelling for one orphan.

After realizing the tax for her home, was more expensive than the tax for a whole duchy of Oren, she set off. To a new beginning, as matriarch she decided to change her name to Ilesca. Though she held her lineage dear, her house required a new start. Just as she had, she desired to train in war. So she sought out a group of Hedge Knights, the knights of Griffons Perch, and became a squire.

In Griffons Perch she endured many hardships, romance, and life. By her adulthood she had fought in many battles, two wars, and a few random encounters with creatures. Forging strong bonds with her shield-brothers in this time. Eventually she was damed, owned her own land in Oren. In the south, on the border to Salvus and the wilds. And a year later, the new king, de Savoie, issued an edict removing everyone’s knightly titles. Despite being a minor land owner, she decided not to petition for her title returned. As her new king was an enemy, a filthy savoyard in her eyes. People she had fought, who had tried to kill her for being a woman, and for being an Adunian. Despite her years of service to the country. She lived quietly alone.

That was until she had a fateful encounter, and met her true lord. A man of gentleness. She pledged to Josiah, and with a small band of friends she struck out. Abandoning her home for Josiah, she claimed him an abandoned castle, built up his lordship that was his by right. Descendant of Horen, the prophet, her one true Adunian lord. She reinforced the keep of Il’tohr, and gave her new holding to Josiah as a gift.

Together they built a community, short lived as they were soon to board the boats. Once traveled, they made camp in Urguan. The dwarves had been kind to them, and they struck a deal with the Grand Kingdom to purchase land from them, and so the dwarves set out, and claimed them an island to share.

Josiah and Maevis, along with many other notable retainers and friends, settled the east side of this island. Nestled into the mountains they forged Hiraeth, a town that would quickly grow beyond expectation. Maevis settled out of town, on the mountainside. She enjoyed the loneliness of it, her lone abode peering out into the snowy fields below.

She married, then divorced, and fell in love once more. She had a daughter named Mairin from her first husband, who was birthed on the boat to the new land. She hellishly gave birth to quadruplets for her second love, Arnorian Elendil. And together they settled with their children, in this small house on the mountain.

Chapter IV:

A New Beginning”-

Spoiler

Aedan Ilesca, a name few know. He was Maevis’ first of the four quadruplets. Born in Hiraeth, he had grown up along side Josiah, Knights, and many Adunians alike.Being just a boy, he was fascinated with the idea of knighthood. His earliest recollection is the Knighting Ceremony which Josiah invited him to. Times trudged on, and he eventually squired under a knight of Hiraeth.

Cleaning the blood of windows, fixing the chairs, cleaning the bedpan were all demeaning tasks. Surely enough, Aedan was full of it. He packed his bag, his kissed his four other siblings and set off. He stumbled upon a boat, which took him to the Dwarven Mainland. Being just a boy, he knew nothing trekking through snow and harsh conditions. A member of the former Guild Blackwood, Kazamir Malinov had found him and taken him in.

He learned the way of the sword and the bow, training under Kazamir and his recruits. He felt like this was his second family, he grew up with them, he felt like he was part of something.

Aedan was longing for Hiraeth, for his kin. On his 20th birthday, Aedan set out again. He trudged through horrendous conditions until he had returned. What he saw, was heart wrenching to say the least. Ashes, burnt wood where homes used to stay, corpses of the people he once knew. His mother and father both perished that day, though his siblings remain to be found. Brennus, his brother has reconnected with Aedan just recently. They currently have a plot of land in Tyravik, thanks to Ketiley and Morvin Gorundyr.

Alexander Godfrey, an aging Adunian, would remain seated on his wheat field, thinking about the recent news of 'returning' Adunians.

"I wonder if the White Order'll take 'em out too." He'd joke with himself, laughing at his own joke. . . Pathetic.
