And So One Falls

Perhaps a fitting end for such an ambiguous elf, perhaps it was a sheer lack of luck, perhaps it was destined. Or perhaps it is a culmination of all of these things, a warrior's death for an elf so bent on avoiding combat. Nevertheless, It occurred and It occurred in a small crevice found in the Sanctuary. He shouldn't have been there, he though at first, why should he come to a place he had been exiled and arrested for resisting that exile, once again? And so, he dug his hands into whatever fold he could find within his armor, scanning around idly as he marched about the town for no particular reason or cause. By happenstance, he found his way to a fight, and by happenstance he was given a blade to end this fight. Oh he must end this fight, his dear Rem was being hurt, yes that just won't do indeed. It seems fate was on his side, when the very assaulter was a necrotic being, one that he had trained or more accurately studied to defeat. It had to be as easy as they said in those old, mildew books right?

 

The next events were a large blur, to most it would seem. Perhaps another can recollect what truly conspired. But to him, it meant nothing, those who he wished to protect in the first place had been escorted out, his urge to fight dropped and his parry's succumbed in much the same way. Yes, it was fate that had put him  in this position, it was fate who tired endlessly to loom his thread and many others. So, with a befitting smile, he allowed the being to strike him down, and strike him down it did. The being was weakened slightly from his attacks, yes. But it managed to get away somehow. Was it that seamstress, Fate who severed his life? Probably, though he seemed to rejoice he had made a brave decision for once. His body stood as a spectacle in the glistening sun, carted off only slight from where it had been struck.

 

Lentos Elibar'acal was no more.

"My possessions shall forfeit to a recent acquaintance of mine, I believe they call him Orias or Edward perhaps. He will come to collect everything should I die."

Rem screams into the sky as the brutal realization of the matter washes over her. Sinking down to her knees, and pressing her palms into the earth, she sobs heavy tears into the grass. Slamming her fists against the earth, she curses the creature that brought undue death to Lentos. 

 

Crafting for him another silver seed, Rem plants this one without a vigil. She utters no words as sun rises upon the city of Lin'sulan, only staring with a blank glare over the oceanic scene. Hurling upon herself a traveler's cloak, and fetching a pale horse, Rem rides off.
