Luthar had traipsed down the path, he looked over his shoulder to see two quarreling Dweds, "Frothing at the mouth. . . As per usual, I suppose" he muttered. It mattered not what he said. Descendants are terribly stubborn things, never able to resist conflict, especially when the opportunity was held before them on a silver platter. The two dwarves turned to the voice. Before them was a figure wrapped in dark linen with a dark shawl that concealed an equally dark void within. "T'eh fock is t'eh mah'er wid ye, boy?!" They both exclaimed, advancing with their fists readily drawn. "Nothing!" Luthar chortled, releasing a ghastly breath of air from within his hood as he did so, "Nothing good Dweds!" The dwarf on the left, the one who had evidently fair skin in comparison to his partner, met Luthar's chortle with a chuckle of his own, "Daht's a lo' o' shite, boy!" The fair dwarf continued to laugh and make merry fun of Luthar for a while before he finally spoke, "Feces? I don't see any fecal matter around." Now it was the dwarf on the right's turn to speak, he was rather portly looking, even for a dwarf "Ye think we're daft?" said he, the portly looking dwarf! "No, no, no. . . " replied Luthar, "Just inferior is all, I don't blame you for something you've no control over, good Dweds!" At this, the fair dwarf and the portly dwarf looked at each other and blushed. Their pores turned a rosy pink and their eyes milked. They bursted out laughing, "Yer quite t'eh joker! We loike ye!" Luthar joined in as well, he was rather fond of any Descendant that didn't draw their blades on him simply due to his looks, "Thank you, good Dweds!" The dwarves tuned in as well, "An' thank ye for t'eh jest, oo'ly dressed fellar," they mused, "We'll be shu' to tell an'yun we mee' back to t'eh capital about ye, fellar! Yer a good clown, ye are!" Suddenly, as if warped by this praise, Luthar surged forward! Razor-esque nails dug into the dwarves' soft necks. The ivory digits of the Lich felt around with an inquisitive twitch to them. The fair dwarf and the portly dwarf turned pale "Hah. . . hah. . . Yer a good one alroight. . ." they stammered, eyes wide open with a nervous grin painted along their faces. "I can not have you two spreading word of me, alright?" As soon as the dwarves nodded their heads, Luthar watched them turn heel and make haste, their spherical bodies seemingly rolling down the hill at the speed they were running. "Comical."

Only a short matter of time had passed after that debacle that Luthar felt an unknown feeling run down his bones. By now, the dwarves were long gone and he stood before a small but oddly charming lake. He knew what was coming. He knew it quite well. "To meet my demise in such a hovel. . . How terribly cruel of Them." He was not afraid, really. It was not the first time he had gone through this process. The Lich merely stepped into the lake, his belongings dragged and kept his skeletal frame stuck on the floor beneath. Deeper and deeper he went until her reached the epicenter, fully submerged. He remained still for a moment, watching the life around him go about their business, it was oddly entertaining. Fish swam through his legs, unafraid. They swam in rings about him and he released a soundless chuckle. He continued to observe the daring fish, watching and watching until he could watch no more. . .

This is Luthar Tzentir's final farewell. His death actually occurred months before this and I felt as though I needed to do this as a last hurrah for a beloved character. I'm thankful for those who've enriched my experience playing him (Squeak, PD, Wrynn, Phil and everyone else, you know who you are :)) and I'm sorry that I had to cut it short. I hope, at least, you enjoyed the read!

Quietly the sodden gaze of Gareth stared for the recently arisen Lich, Kraal. "Fear the Old Dark."

The Necromancer would recall the time the Lich had tried to shock him to death, but didn't finish the job.
