A tree grows in Willow Hollow.

Above Thickfeet's Rest, a rather run down burrow of Willow Hollow, was a tree. Not much of a tree as it was dry, thin, and leafless. It was a sad tree. It seemed to be dead and any passerby would expect it to fall over at any moment. That was until a Druid Dedicant known as Rogen was given the task of reviving it.

Was it truly dead?

Winter was settling in and snow had already begun to drift into the town. For weeks he spent his time clearing the area around its roots, finding a delicious but infectious collection of mushrooms  eating away at the very trunk. Once the mushrooms had been cooked and eaten (of course for their own good) he then tended to the dried and brittle dead branches that hung pathetically from the aged limbs.

By mid winter in the deadest of cold it had appeared to be completely cleaned. Although missing the lush green leaves usually associated with life, it still seemed quite hopeful that the abandoned woodland friend would return. He waited patiently for the passing of winter so the fruits of his labor could be assessed.

Soon enough the snow was already beginning to melt and the sounds of life had returned to the world. The end of winter was coming and already the droopy tree had regained much of its strength. The canopy had already began anew as the quit of green was starting to spread. Life had returned. It wasn't long before other green kin joined and soon vines and mosses were fastening themselves to this new bringer of shade.

In full force of spring the world was awake and vibrant and this tree was no different.  Amongst the base was now a small haven for mediation and sitting. Before long a small statue of Cerwidan sat at the base and looked quite at home among the revived new friend of Willow Hollow.

Life had returned indeed.

The dedicant's task had been completed and he journeyed back to his guide to report...

Berilac nods approvingly as he sees the tree has regained its life, he remarks to himself,

"Hmmph, t'e tree is alive now, good t'ing Rogen did his work. A nice job indeed..."

As a slim and quiet mali'ame woman pads about the battlements surrounding the wood elf city of Laureh'lin, she catches a glimpse of the revived tree. Smiling softly to herself, she passes her eyes over the neighboring settlement of Willow Hollow.

Whoever had that task certainly knows what they're doing.
