Feedback Meetings

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello LotC,

As some of you may know, for the past few months GMs and Admins alike have been getting together in monthly meetings to discuss the feedback topics that have been raised by the community. We do this so that we can gratify your feedback with a formal response, and take help from the issues that you've explained and talked about.

From now on, we'd like you to come to these meetings where we'll discuss the issues that you've raised. You being there will allow you to include further input to your statements as we discuss them! I'll post an announcement when a feedback meeting will be approaching so that you know one is coming up. The meetings are usually held on either Discord or Teamspeak, depending on which one is more stable and works better at the time.

This being said, for us to discuss your feedback we need it to be constructive so that we can take full points from it, and develop solutions from the issues you've raised! Now,

use the feedback format

Yeah, if you point out that there's perhaps an issue on the server and offer a solution that we think is good - We'll try and assign someone to start implementing the change onto the server.

And what if you aren't that articulate due to English not being your native language? I.E: me.

Nice joke, but I don't have any issues with the language itself, more so trying to add up the words to make a meaningful sentence without sounding like a stereotypical nord with poor engelsk skills. There's a reason I'm fond of rants, no need to be formal.

Haha, it's alright if the English isn't that well written. I'm not expecting pages upon pages of perfectly written sentences, I'll still take a look at it and just ask you if I don't understand anything :).

I can help when I'm not busy? If you're wanting to get some formal feedback out there and don't want to be "written off" for engelsk skills. I'm sure others are willing to help too. don't let the engelsk hold you back.

problem is you've received plenty of feedback and most of it has been ignored altogether

we (the community) could raise as many points to be fixed as you want (believe me, there's many), but will they truly be taken into consideration? it didn't seem like it as of now

If you look at most of the recent feedback posts, they've all been given a response - explaining how we feel the issue is already handled or how it's not an issue. Sometimes when players present their issue, and offer viable solutions we actually do take their ideas into consideration. Probably the most notable one that's been taken on board whilst I've been on the team was the Heist System proposed by Yankee which is currently being developed.

The feedback system, as well as allowing you to explain your feelings and thoughts about the server allows you to make changes that you want to see.

I understand that you're trying your best, Wrynn, but it still doesn't look to me that Feedback has actually been taking into consideration. The entirety of the Profession plugin, for example, is still an aborted pile of fuming ****, to say the least. There was negative feedback about the "luck" stat, negative feedback about recipes to craft stuff, negative feedback about how difficult it is to build something with Nexus, negative feedback about PvP Persona buffs and a massive backlash against the transiction to 1.9.

How did it turn out? Luck is still there, you still need to find recipes (which are literally the EPITOME of grinding as finding one in a casket is purely luck based, and the chance of getting it is very, very low), you need to grind to make a ******* door, Personas are still broken with retarded PvP buffs and all the threads made about 1.9 were completely ignored, the one I personally made included.

All kinds of different people got together to beta-test, said it wasn't ready, and you still carried through with it.

Is the Staff Team, pardon me, DEPARTMENT, truly looking at players' Feedback, Wrynn?

I still haven't recieved an answer on this. I know it was moved to the plugin forums, but surely it should be for the admins/GMs to decide and then tell the developers what needs to be done.

Yeah... These are all Developer issues, that they have to handle. I only organise and respond to feedback that is directed towards Admins/GMs, and sadly I can't give you guys a response for these ones. I'm sorry that they haven't been answered but all I can do is try to encourage the dev team to answer them. I'll try and get you guys a response on them, and once again like I said I'm sorry they haven't been answered.
