Draylar 2 Share Posted July 18, 2016 The block-lag I am getting is really preventing me from doing what I want to do. I'm trying to upgrade my mining skill, but with the mining fatigue (which is a feature, I'm aware) and the block-lag, it takes around 10-15 minutes to break 100 stone when it really should only take 5-7 minutes at max. I've asked other players whether or not they get this block-lag and the usual response is a "no". Is there a solution to this? Here is a gif to show what is happening: At the beginning, the wood I break takes around 4 seconds to pop out. The last piece of wood I break also takes a while to break. As you can imagine, this is quite the struggle while mining because it takes a long time to break a small section of stone. Also, I'm getting around 50 ping if it helps. Jistuma 1996 Share Posted July 18, 2016 This is ticks per second lag. When it lags, it lowers the ticks per second. So if it takes 20 ticks (normally 1 second) to break a log, but the server is working at 7 tps, then it'll take 3 seconds for the block to break. It's... awful I know... marimbamonk 1501 Share Posted July 19, 2016 This may beyond some sort of client-side fix. It might have to do with the server LotC is hosted on itself. Not really sure. Doing anything to reduce how hard your Minecraft has to work should help a little, at least. Lowering graphics from "fancy" to "fast", etc. If they're already there... Best of luck to ya! Haha.
