Imperial Reserve Act

circa 1571

The Imperial Reserve Act is an article of legislation with the intent of ensuring the protection of the nation's most valuable and beneficial natural and man-made areas from scarring, or reckless ‘editing’ and mismanagement.

The execution of the Act shall work in the way detailed below;

  • The whole of the nation shall be surveyed, and judged carefully based on natural value, appearance, and location in relation to other local landmarks such as roads and villages.
  • Once surveyed and judged to be requiring protection, the area will be tactfully fenced-off, and special roads built as to not too badly mar the natural quality of the area.
  • Gamekeepers and Foresters will be assigned to patrol and manage the Reserves, keeping poachers, squatters and vandalizers out.

Once properly established in a more concrete fashion, plans for the Reserves shall include;

  • Build certain paths to Enable people to enjoy these natural areas in an un-harmed state.
  • Offer and run educational lectures and shows to those who are interested in learning about the history and attributes of an area.
  • Take visitors on interactive gathering trips in certain areas; an example would be assembling a group to go on nature walks to spot certain animals or plants.

As for man-made areas, a different set of rules and system of execution would apply;

  • A building may be deemed historically significant, or culturally significant, and would be landmarked as such. This would give this building a certain protocol to follow.
  • Protocols would entail making the editing of a Preserved building illegal, teardown illegal, and moving thereof illegal.
  • As well, buildings located around a Preserved building would have to fit a similar code of design, as well as not be built in such a way to hamper the original design of a preserved building Ex. A Preserved house, neighboring houses would not be allowed to be built in a different style or taller than the house.
