I agree with the rule about permakilling, making it so that you can have a second chance in decisions had it been rushed of regretted.

I have heard the word "duping" multiple times but have no idea what it is.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?:

Google, but really, I discovered this server years ago but plan on joining it now upon rediscovery

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is taking the role of a character and acting out said character's story. Most characters are fiction however the same definition can be applied to historical figures in said roleplay

 

What is metagaming?: Having outside knowledge of something and applying it in character.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?:

Taking actions that would be deemed nit humanly possible or forcing a certain outcome without giving players time to react.

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Robert grew up without the shelter of a mother or the guidance of a father. In fact, he had an orphanage in a slum. Robert was well liked by some of the orphanage and discreetly hated by others. He would often lead some friends out to cause mischief in the slums or help soldiers with chores such as cleaning, he often boasted as a small boy how he would like to be a knight one day. 

Sometimes, the orphanage leaders would tell stories of the gates orcs such as uruks and goblins, sometimes learning about how Ilbees cursed dwarves with greed or humans with small life or how The Creator is the one true God of Oren. He would also learn of the rough lives of Highlanders of the north or the culture of High Elves. 

When he came into adulthood most others he was friends with were adopted, Robert was left alone. He would soon set out to start his own living. He would be a farmer, a apprentice hunter or Smith, all too quiet for the lad. He soon decided to the life of a soldier. He trained with bows and sword, preferring swords and hating the use cavalry, the buggers and their cowardly Lances. Bah! Through battles and raids, he learned the life of living in true hell, how horrible war is. He swore to himself personally, that he would avoid war should he get the chance. And thus his adventure begins, the life of a soldier, a future lord or knight, of some com

 

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Robert would have a rather good sense of right and wrong and moralitt vs. duty. Hence would rather be direct than subtle unless tact demands it and would rather handle things diplomatically than through war/fighting. He dreams of chivalry and honor of becoming a knight/lord one day.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) A knight or lord of Oren.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) More often than not, Robert tends to be a smooth talker and skilled with typical swords and shield or bows. Should he be left alone in the wild, he could likely survive.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Sometimes, subtleties can be a pain to Robert and directness would sometimes be seems as rude. Although smooth talking Robert prefers things to the point. Robert alsondoesn't have a great background either.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?)

Coming at 6'4", he towers over some others people. Robert had jet black hair that is cut to seem manageable and fashions a stubble on his face.
