Robert grew up without the shelter of a mother or the guidance of a father. In fact, he had an orphanage in a slum. Robert was well liked by some of the orphanage and discreetly hated by others. He would often lead some friends out to cause mischief in the slums or help soldiers with chores such as cleaning, he often boasted as a small boy how he would like to be a knight one day. Sometimes, the orphanage leaders would tell stories of the gates orcs such as uruks and goblins, sometimes learning about how Ilbees cursed dwarves with greed or humans with small life or how The Creator is the one true God of Oren. He would also learn of the rough lives of Highlanders of the north or the culture of High Elves. When he came into adulthood most others he was friends with were adopted, Robert was left alone. He would soon set out to start his own living. He would be a farmer, a apprentice hunter or Smith, all too quiet for the lad. He soon decided to the life of a soldier. He trained with bows and sword, preferring swords and hating the use cavalry, the buggers and their cowardly Lances. Bah!
