(some)Gem’s of the Realm

From poorest quality to Highest

Gemstones are commonly used as jewelry and other fancy dandy skin-wear among the decedents, though another use lingers about in the art of magic. Oddly enough Gemstones hold a property where a mage of the art of alteration may imbue this gemstone with mana, allowing it to act as a source of fuel for enchantments that would otherwise need manual fueling..

Topaz:

Topaz gems are a common one on the market, they come in various colors and are famous for such, making a quick gemstone jewelry for ones favorite color. When cut these gems hold a slightly moderate amount of mana, imbued by a Transfigurationist, and are not too common of a gem for Enchanted Trinkets.

Peridot:

Peridot are one of the few gemstones that occur in one color, olive green. Being a semi-precious gem, and one commonly mistaken as an emerald, it’s commonly mined up with a rough mineral of another name, Peridot is a gemstone quality variety of such. Once cut the gem, like others, hold the property of being able to be imbued with mana, and a moderate amount at that.

Emerald:

Emeralds are a precious and common gem, normally found mined in a raw form and refined/cut into a gemstone, they hold a natural green color. Being such a common but precious gemstone, emeralds hold the basis of being the most common gemstone used in Enchantments, as they hold a moderate amount of mana, are more resistant than other gemstones, and are loved for their natural colors.

Ruby:

These gemstones are rare, precious, and elegant in their colors. Rarely found deposits of these raw gemstones hide in the realms crust, where every once in awhile a lucky miner may obtain such. Polished and cut from it’s raw for the Ruby holds a blood red color, due to it’s rarity and elegance this gemstone also holds a decent amount of mana, being a great gem for Enchantments.

Diamond:

One of the rarest and more precious gemstones, Diamonds are found deposited deep underground. Once cut these gemstones hold an elegance to them, one of grace and rarity. Diamonds come in clear/white, blue, red, even black colors dependent on the minerals it was deposited with. One cut, such a gemstone can hold a great deal of mana, an amazing gem for complicated and powerful Enchantments.

The Aengul Eye:

Said in tales alike that such a gem is so rare because it’s formed from the tears of an Aengul, squeezed through time and reality into our realm when an Aengul shows remorse. That’s one tale, others linger here and there on how such a gemstone exists. The gem takes up a vibrant hue, peering into it almost looks as if you were looking heavensward yourself. Such a gem is extremely rare, even unknown how it’s found, and holds an extreme amount of mana, a gemstone fit for an extremely powerful enchantment.

Notice: Sorted and organized by personal experience/opinion, let me know if you think else wise. All these gems are craftable/obtainable MCly, there are some Gems are do exist with out an MC item that I will add to the list on a later date.

This "Guide" was written up for reference to others on how Gemstones look / rare / possible use in enchantments, etc.

Don't hurt me for making something kinda useless.
