OzYmandi 647 Share Posted November 24, 2016 Hi. Let me warn you that this idea is merely an idea, and should not be treated seriously unless you think it should. Lets get to it. So, yea, I've been thinking these days (last week, exactly) and I thought "Oh wait, is there a mobile support for the forums?". You're probably thinking like "Wait wait, dude, hold on! Thats too much! Baby steps, my man" And I know, yea, baby steps. Allow me to explain: It would be an application (iPhone and Android) on which you can access the forums from your cellphone with mobile internet (AT&T, stuff like that) or from a source of WiFi. "Wouldn't it need programmers, developers?" Yes. And it would also need a completely different staff team that will (or would) be responsible for that area of the Forums. "Yea, but we already have the forums on PC, why do we need that?" Pros: -More accesibility towards the community. -New way to enter the forum and post topics. -People that aren't much on PC, but still like the forums, would now have a different way to acces the Community and Forums via their cellphone. Cons: -Programmers, Developers, and the whole burocracy of taking it to App Store and Play Store, alongside the need of a whole new staff team for it. -It could be buggy, since its a PC forum converted into a smaller device, with a smaller screen. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So yea, its a idea for the community and staff to ponder about. Inkthorn 1434 Share Posted November 24, 2016 The website is mobile responsive. The website software is the Invision Power Suite, a forum / website software package. IPS (the company) has previously floated ideas of blank apps for their clients to use but have never really embraced it. I don't think that a mobile app would be necessary or viable really.
