Taxation of Kal'Nikaer

Notices are put up around the capital

On the last stone day of every other stone week, all taxes for homes within the capital are due. If the appropriate tax due is not deposited within the chest respective to your house, your house will be locked until the tax is paid. If the home owner has a suitable excuse for not completing their taxes, they should speak with the Seneschal, Velwyn Ireheart as soon as possible.

  • All taxes are due at the end of the week, as reminded by the former Foreman General earlier this week.
  • If residents fail to file their taxes, they will have three stone days until their house is locked.
  • If the debt time eclipses another three stone days from the point of their house being locked, the Seneschal will move the residents belongings in to storage for the resident.
  • The belongings are moved to remove inactive Dwarves and help solve the Housing crisis, as new Dwarves are struggling to find home in the city.
  • If the resident fails to contact the Seneschal regarding the where about of their belongings within 10 stone days from the point of movement, the belongings will be auctioned or repossessed.

The Seneschal would like to remind the citizens of the capital that taxes haven't been fully collected in very a long time, and won't stand for free housing any longer, especially with the shortage of homes.

Furthermore:

-Residents are NOT allowed to pay for more taxation papers than the amount required for the two stone week taxation period.

-Placing papers worth more than the two stone week period will still only count as one period of taxation and you will not get refunded.

On a final note, the taxation deadline is every other stone Sunday, residents shouldn't have to be reminded.

If any Dwedmar have any issues within the city or regarding the previous notice, do not hesitate to contact the Seneschal.

Signed Velwyn Ireheart, Seneschal of Urguan
