Biography: Born in the city of Falsen, Samwise was only three years of age when the Empire migrated from the Isles of Vailor to Axios. A majority of his life was spent around the forge and living in the shadow of the Crownlands, his father frequently commissioned to produce arms and armor for the Imperial army while his mother smithed jewelry for the lords and ladies of Oren. The Anarchy resulted in plenty of work for his father, so much so that Samwise became very familiar with smithing under his father's tutelage. The Barristan family were model citizens, never doing much save smithing their work and saying their prayers. This continued for a very long time, and now that Sam's parents were nearing their old age, he left them in the care of his younger sister while he ventured off into the rest of the world, with the hopes of carrying on his father's legacy through smithing techniques, if nothing else.

Personality Traits: Creative, self-determined, ambitious, naive, and relatively charming

Ambitions: To become a blacksmith of reasonable renown

Strengths/Talents: Smithing and any general athletics

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Combat and literacy

Appearance: He's of a moderate height, bearing dark hair, relatively pale skin, and a shaggy head of black hair. While generally veiled by his black beard, a rather gruesome looking burn can be found on the right side of his face, no doubt the result of some smithing accident. Despite that, Sam was blessed with relative attractive features and a physique befitting someone that swung a hammer all day.
