On the third floor of The Library of Dragur stood a high elf.  She was alone, gazing out her dormitory window longingly toward the distant mountains on the northern horizon.  Her eyes traced the jagged peaks which remained sheathed in snow and ice, but she didn’t see the mountains.

The elf’s eyes were distant, seeing a life which had been buried beneath decades of the past.  What she truly saw was a golden land in Vailor rich with flourishing fields of wheat and the delicate and fragrant flowers of summer.  It was The Duchy of Lorraine.  Far below her, the cool sea thrashed herself against the towering, grey cliffs of unmoving stone, roaring with her turbulent waves.  The swirling greys and blues of the sea almost matched the color of the elf’s melancholy eyes.

She heard no roaring of the distant sea, but only the gentle sighs of leaves from the many great oaks found within the old duchy.  She heard the birds singing from their hidden positions in the branches, and the soft lapping sounds of a nearby creek within the wood by her hut of a house in the Barony of Darkwood, located east of the Summerhall Keep.

Her lips began to hint to smile as she recalled her past self: Mundane, new to the arts of alchemy and medicine, fancying the use of a sword, and perhaps willing to marry her sword instead of a man.  She was happy.

The elf’s lips scarcely parted to release a faint murmur of questioning, “Will those beautiful days of tranquillity in the sun ever return?”

((It was fun hanging out with you back after the Duke's War. Have fun, broski))

Goodbye my friend.

Don't waste your time looking back. You're not going that way.

Moved to The Great Library. It shall be sorted into the appropriate category shortly.

If you feel this is a mistake, please contact myself or any FM and we'll restore it.
