The regulations and policies transcribed within this manuscript are required to be reviewed by any such citizen who seeks to enact and practice research and/or experiments within the Eternal Library Laboratories prior to conducting their research.

 

 

Every citizen will be required to read and sign this manuscript before commencing with laboratory work. Read the following carefully:

 

• Do not bring unauthorized personnel into the laboratory without express permission from the okarir’maehr or library assistant.

 

• Use of magics within the laboratory is not prohibited but any and all liabilities in relation to said magics are reflected on the caster. The Library of Haelun’or is not responsible for any bodily damage in consequence with enacting magic within the laboratory.

 

• Do not perform unauthorized experiments. Any and all research that a citizen wishes to conduct must first be explicitly approved by the okarir’maehr or library staff.

 

• Independent research along with research accompanied by colleagues must follow the Code of Ethics. Any citizen found to be conducting experiments that violate said Code will be held accountable for their violation and will be taken before elheial'thilln.

 

• Follow all procedures with respect to laboratory safety, which includes handling and storage of elements, volatile and explosive substances, disposal of wastes, and transportation of hazardous products.

 

 

Integrity, accountability, and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations within Haelun’or and The Library of Haelun’or are the cornerstones of this Code of Ethics. Citizens are required to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the following:

 

• Only objective, observable facts may be recorded and considered as adequate data for submittance to the Library of Haelun’or. Allowing unfetter beliefs and values deter the outcome of any results is a violation of ethics and is deemed a disgrace.

 

• Undertake experiments of which the conductor has legitimate and expansive knowledge upon. Enacting research in a field that is unfamiliar may lead to skewed results and harm subsequent experiments.

 

• Prudence, diligence, attention and caution are all necessitated in order to conduct experiments of a high caliber. Care must be taken in order to ensure that undesirable outcomes will be suppressed to the highest degree.

 

• Maintain a standard of personal and professional conduct that does not reflect adversely on the The Library of Haelun’or or its members.

 

• Recognize the duty to address poor conduct and/or practice of another citizen in order to protect the public interest, the laboratories, and the reputation of The Library of Haelun’or.

 

By reading and signing your signature below, you, the citizen of Haelun’or and user of the laboratory facilities, acknowledge and understand that exposure to certain elements and substances associated and used with the laboratories may leave you at risk .

 

You confirm that you assume and accept full responsibility for the inherent and other risks within the laboratories (both known and unknown), and for any injury, damage, fatalities, or other loss resulting from these risks.

 

You agree to release and hold free and clear The Library of Haelun’or, and it’s okarir’maehr and assistants in regard to all claims, liabilities, suits or expenses (collectively referred to as “claims”), including any claim alleged to be caused by the actions or inactions of the staff within The Library of Haelun’or arising from your participation within the laboratories. You agree to waive all claims that you may have against The Library of Haelun’or and agree that neither you, nor anyone acting on your behalf, will see fit to engage in bringing The Eternal Library or staff to trial.
