You may write us down in history, with your bitter twisted lies.

 

 

You may trod us in the very dirt, but still, like dust, we rise.

 

Just like suns and like moons, with the certainty of tides,

Just like Hopes ringing out,

Still we rise.

 

You may shoot us with your bows, you may cut us with your blades,

You may kill us with your hatefulness,

 

But still.

 

Like air.

 

We Rise.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Rebellion will not sway,

We siege your lands and you do not dare defend.

 

We are coming for you, Oren,

And we will Rise.

          Nemir's eye twitches as she senses someone using the word "loose" instead of "lose" in a sentence.  The elf then huffed, shaking her head as she heard of this poem, mururing, "How does the title go along with the poem itself?  I had thought it'd be about a pack of dogs or something of the like."  She then ponderously crossed her arms in front of her, narrowing her eyes as she thought. "Dust rises, yes, but it then settles... And if this poem is to relate to war, you should've said 'like smoke, we rise', not air.  It's still a decent work of poetry, hopefully a copy may be made and donated to The Library of Dragur."
