The Wicks hold a close relationship with the North, but very recently they hold a strong bond with the Kovachevs. Due to their loyal service to House Kovachev, they have been granted the keep Leifgaard. They have also been promised land, on the condition that they can build up a strong enough levy. Currently they are renovating Leifgaard in the hopes of being able to support a sizeable amount of troops in order to get them their land.

 

House Lore

House Wick has its roots with its founder: Coltaine Wick. The elder Wick was born shortly before the death of Anthos, and grew up into his 20s in Aesterwald. Shortly after the Aesterwald and Renatus rebellion, he fled his homeland to join the Crows, fighting valiantly with the Carrions to stop the rebel tide. But unfortunately, it was for naught. After the defeat of the Carrion’s, the Wick wandered the streets, homeless and seeking a purpose. It was at this low moment in his life when he was called upon to serve once more as a Crow. Taking up the mantle of Golden Crow, led by Karl Barbanov himself. He served for many years. During his time of service, he sired a son: Tehol, who was a real lazy piece of ****. But, Tehol’s son, Kallor, was a fine, fine warrior. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, Kallor took up a sword for the Golden Crow; where he fought until he died. But before his death, Kallor sired two children: Kallor the Second, who also died in service to the Golden Crow, and A’Karonys. A’karonys was a rather fat, jovial upstart mage. Unfortunately, his weak heart got the best of him. Fortunately he sired a son, Adrian. Adrian Wick, along with his long lost cousin, Alran, took the mantle of running the Wick name. Adrian is playing an active role, for it was he who managed to allow the Kovachevs to gift them Leifgaard, and it was also he who managed to have the Kovachevs promise the mighty Wicks land. Alran is somewhere far off, taking a rather subtle approach to furthering the Wick name, whatever that may be.

 

Distinguishing Features

Many will find that a Wick or his loyal fighters will be using magical weapons, enchanted of the highest caliber. Such is so for the Wicks, as many in the Wick line have a magical prowess unseen from other Human families of their day. As their lineage will betray, many of them are of a Haneti/Aesterwaldian physique, their chiseled faces and blue eyes holding a deep respect for their culture.
