KeiaTypeBeat 3277 Share Posted January 24, 2017 Hello! I wanted to create a quick and easy guide to character scaling using the mod Mpm. (if you find any errors in my math, feel free to tell me. If you think my post is ugly, either go suck a big one or help me make it look pretty) Firstly, it should be stated that the standard player skin is 6ft 1 inch tall. I did some math (google did some math) and quickly found that 2% of 6ft 1 inch is approximately 1 inch. (It is exactly 1 29⁄64 inches, but you're playing a roleplay server on a game meant for twelve year olds. Do you really care about exact measurements?) That means, by using the 2%=1inch scale, that if you scale your character to 98%, your character will be an even 6ft. If you scale it to 102%, your character will be 6ft 2 inches. Simple! Now, using basic elementary math that you should have learned in elementary school, if you want to make your character 5ft 1 inch, you would multiply 2 by 12, because there are twelve inches in a foot. Now that you have 24, you subtract 24% from 100% to get 76%. (if you want exactness, 76% of 6ft 1 inch is, in reality, 4ft 7 31/64 inches. I am no mathematician, so if you absolutely must have your character scaled exactly like the nerd you are, go do the math yourself or find someone else to do it.) That means, again using the 2%=1 inch scale, 7ft 1inch would be 124%. (again, if you want the exactness, 124% of 6ft 1inch is actually 7ft 6inches. My math scale is no where near perfect, but it could hold you over if you're too lazy to google it yourself, or at least until someone makes a more accurate scale) My character, Vas Umbra-Vincrute, is only 5ft 9inches, so I scaled all the parts of his body to 92% (92% of 6ft 1inch is actually 5ft 7 5⁄32 inches. If I want it exact, I would scale it to 94.51%, but I'm using the 2%=1 inch method. For the love of god, make a more accurate scale than this if you are better at math than I am) My math isn't exact, as I've stated numerous times. If you want to make a more accurate guide, feel free to do so! I made this because I was bored, and I figured at least one or two people would get some use out of this guide. If I made a mistake in something, as I probably did, feel free to point it out. I couldn't find a scale anywhere else on the forums or online, but if you know of a more accurate one, please do link it in the comments.

MangoArt 399 Share Posted January 24, 2017 I actually believe the scale is 1.5%=1 inch. I always thought Steve was 5'11.

The player's eye level (According to coordinates while pressing F3) is 1.62 meters. Since their eyes are 28 pixels above their feet, leaving 4 pixels above their eyes (.23m), this makes them 1.85 meters tall and 0.925 meters wide. t. minecraft wiki
