What is roleplaying?:

Roleplay is the act of taking on and playing as character both in behavior and physicality that is traditionally not you.

What is metagaming?:

To me "meta-gaming" is the usage of previous knowledge of something in-game and taking advantage of it by applying it to one's own gameplay.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?:

I understand "power-gaming" as the execution of an action on another player that doesn’t allow that player and opportunity respond or to do anything about the said action.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

"I knew neither my father nor mother; my grandfather was the only family I had. I would often look myself in the mirror and try to imagine what my mother and father look like based on my own facial features. He never spoke of my parents but he did tell me how I came under his care. I can't remember any of the events that occurred, fore I was too young, but my grandfather visited my parents and me, in Linandria, every week for an evening dinner as a family, after my grandmother died of age.

 

On one of his visits though, as he was approaching my parent's house, he noticed there was not a flicker of light to be seen through the windows of the house. As unusual as this was, he thought nothing of it, and preceded to the front door of the house. As my grandfather began to knock, on the first pound against the door, it swung open to reveal wreckage of all sorts spread throughout the house. Every item in the house was either smashed upon the floor or broken. My grandfather was very surprised and petrified at the sight of this. Recovering from his state of shock he entered in the house, very cautiously.

 

All that could be heard was the creaking of the wooden floor but also a faint crying noise. Unable to find my parents within the house, he began to try and find the source of the noise. He finally tracked it down in my parents’ bedroom, in their wardrobe. He promptly opened the wardrobe to discover me lying on a mound of clothes, crying. He picked me up and embraced me in his arms, trying to calm me down, but with little success. He then immediately exited the house and headed towards his home, in Laureh'lin which would soon be my home as well, using only the moonlight to see the path way ahead.

 

From that point on he cared for as his own son and took me underneath his wing. During most of my childhood, my grandfather taught me how to fancy a sword, fore he was a veteran of the many battles that raged on during the time Phaedrus's rebellion, but he also wanted to pass down his knowledge and skills of the blade to someone, before his final hour in this world, arrives. Though throughout my training I mentaly resented it on a daily basis, giving my attention to the many books that stacked upon grandfather's bookcase.  My grandfather raised me from a child and was able to see me grow into the age of manhood.

 

That hour did arrive though, and my grandfather fell severely ill... On his death bed he did state to me his final words, he said, 'Do not grieve over me fore have given you all of the love and care I would provide and taught you all of the skills that I know and now it is you turn to share it with the world....' It was difficult to take in his words due to the strain in my eyes from the crying I was trying so hard to contain, but couldn't...

I occasionally remember the times I would sit down with my grandfather and he would tell me the tales of legends that his own father told him of. After he finished his story I naively would proclaim to him that I shall become a legend, such as those told from generation to generation. No one will ever forget and constantly gossip of the mighty tale of me! He would then form a huge grin across his face, give me his crushing hugs and say, "I'm sure you will.... I'm sure you will.." . Shortly after his death I decided to set out on my own to forge my own legendary tale of my life; one that I dreamed would be spread and spoken of throughout every family of Axios and time"

 

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)

Ryldfene is Passive, if a bit optimistic and has a safisticated sense of humar. He of course has common fears. Ryldfene likes to and at ease when he is reading a good  or favorite book in a relaxed environment and conduct experiments but is enraged and dislikes being in the presence of violent situations, those he cares about are threatened and, witnessing the suffering of others, especially if they are innocent or treated unjustly. He is also very proper in his mannerism when in public as he bows  to men and kisses the hands of  ladies only during meets and greets and usually has folds his hand behind himself with a relaxed and straighten back

A 6'4" ,toffee brown skinned wood elf, with a tone and well proportioned body with slightly broad shoulders, though his muscles lack in much depth due to his eleven heritage.  Ryldfene has straight, brown  long hair that nearly touches his shoulders.  His hair curls slightly with the length of the hair asset sometimes covers his golden-ish yellow eyes when there is not the usually  ponytail tied in the back of his head.

Ryldfene can be seen wearing an old militia outfit with a rugged dark scarf over a belted lace across his torso, leather gloves, dark blue tunic under white blouse, and dark brown good ol' leather boots.
