History of 'Pruvia'

The Duchy of Pruvia was established in the First Empire during the Manifest Destiny of the Empire, when they expanded west to new lands. Originally a simple region, it was only inhabited by a small village called Mireton, with the archaic Black Keep, which served as Emperor Godfrey's keep until the city of Arethor was reconstructed.

Magnus Loken, a minor lordling in the Empire and a former Renatian was given the title of Baron of Mireton, in only a few short years dying and the title going to Godfrey's third son, Alexander who was second to take the throne after the Prince who would become Emperor Horen V. Alexander began to aggressively colonize the land in the region, using the natural resources in the area, being the high mountains and forests, to become a Duke, and one of his father's favorites.

Following his suicide, his son Patrick took the title who held it until the Exodus in which the title became defunct, with the only memory being the line of Duke Alexander I of Pruvia. The then-defunct title was then held by the House of Horen for several generations, eventually becoming the title for the heir to Vandoria in Vailor, under Horen rulership.

Recently, due to the death of all of it’s other heirs, the title ‘Prince of Pruvia’ was granted to Anna Sophia de Chambery (now Horen-Pruvia), granddaughter to John I Godfrey of Vandoria.
