Glorious Raids on glorious times.

During the years where the only Ahlström Ursa reigned the Northspawn, he directed many raids. Many raids. Leading the Northspawn to some temporary glory and wealth. The most notable of that raid was led by him and Clan Wolf Drengst Volsung against the notorious Vüden. Vüden was the Clan Wolf of Clan Ívthmal. After commiting treacherous acts and breaking the 'No agression' law held by the barbaric kind of the Northspawn. Two weeks prior to the raid, the Ívthmal had raided a Thorkell settlement, leaving no survivors. That led the council to rage war against Ívthmal. Banded together Ahlström, Volsung and Úgvandr, another minor clan attacked by Ívthmar.

 

The night was snowy, as always, but unusually cold. The archers of Ahlström and the Volsung shieldmen slowly flanked around the right, while the Úgvandr spearmen went to the front gate.

They were greeted by the greasy Vüden Ívthmal, holding the notorious bull shield.

"VHAT DO YOU SEEK, KURDVELL ÚGVANDR?!" thundered Vüden from the top of the gates.

"EVERYTHING YOU STOLE FROM ME, ÍVTHMAL SCUM!" the Úgvandr responded, banging his shield.

 

As soon as Úgvandr's words ceased, the Ahlström archers set fire to the walls with the traditional fire arrows. Vüden went crazy. The axemen quickly went to defend the front gates, who had been quickly dealth by the Volsung shieldmen, the Úgvandr swordsmen quickly following up.

 

War broke in the small settlement, filled with men covered in different tattoos with different allegiances. Blood splattered everywhere it could reach.

 

"STOP THIS MADNESS!" Uddmandr Ahlström screamed as he finished slashing a Ívthmal swordsman down "VHERE ARE YOU, VÜDEN?!" he called out, the men round them stopping the fight to watch the duel.

 

As Vüden emerged from the walls of soldiers, the place fell into deep silence. Not a single rain drop or ice trinkle mattered. It was Drengst Volsung and Uddmandr Ahlström against the notorious Vüden Ívthmal.

 

And so it began, the savage, brutal duel led to the death of Uddmandr Ahlström and Vüden Ívthmal.

 

After such duel, the Ahlström Ursa who had perished to the Ívthmal led to a single year of Ívthmal command by the Ursa Frej Ívthmal, only to be later challenged and won by Drengst Volsung's son, Heddmal.
