[Magic][Voidal] Polymorph - Celestialism Subtype

Arcanism -> Celestialism -> Polymorph

 

Through the power of the greater aura the Celestial Arcanist will cast their imbuements unto their foes rather than friend. 

 

As one may imbue a being to unlock their greater aura or bind a celestial to their given stone so shall the act of imbuement gather the great feat of polymorph unto another. As one’s body is racked by the powers of the void the Celestial Arcanist can forcefully bestow a celestial body onto the target. 

 

[!] The power of the celestial light flowed through their veins and suddenly their muscles contorted and like a great torrent did the room illuminate. Soon the clattering of metal echoed through the stone keep and in the wake of the chaos did four pigs make boisterous squeals. [!]

 

In truth the enchantment would last only so long and those afflicted by the celestial rite of polymorph would find no harm come to their persons. An arcanist stone made their prison and as their essence overflowed with the imbuement of greater aura their corporeal being shifted into the stone. The beings replacing their form were celestials of various form but more often then not resembled mortal creatures more closely. Anything the Celestial Arcanist was most familiar with would make up these temporary vessels. Short lived lives were given to these poor souls for soon the confines of the arcanist stone would shatter and the prisoner released to reclaim their mortal coil and the things that once adorned their frame

 

Red Lines:
- Arcanist Stone of Grade B or above must be used
- Not immediate
- Polymorph lasts approx 5 mins (5-10) emotes pending situation 
- Polymorphed individual is invincible, ethereal but cannot break free on their own
- Takes up a magic slot
- Celestials wander aimlessly
- If the stone is shattered the polymorph ends

 

 

Scapegoat ~ Polymorphing Yourself ~

 

This newly found power works not only on foe but the caster as well. By overloading one’s body with greater aura in a similar fashion to voidal shifting the celestialist may temporarily escape into the confines of an arcanist stone. While in this state they suffer the same consequences but the advantages as well. Not only this but the Celestialist may use this time to catch up on their favorite novel or perhaps a painting that they have neglected. This ability sometimes takes on a more utility based role similar to cognatism but without the mental stimulation or boost. Based on the quality of stone used time itself may meander as they await their eventual release.

So I have been asked to expand Arcanism a bit more since it is a bit sparse of a subtype and in fitting with the newly found warlock theme I figured it was time to add polymorph to the ability list.
