Hello, it is probably an SSL exception. There is something blocking your minecraft from the servers - can you try starting this up so I can see you launching this from a more detailed way - I had the same problem with linux, so I'm guessing SSL exception - or java error.

 

That, or something is blocking your access to download files from mojang. 

 

I don't know if minecraft on Non-Gentoo Linux computers has something called 'icedtea' but if it does for java - download that.
