Amidst the heavily forested Linandrian woods, something truly horrid skitters amongst the tenebrous foliage; preying on livestock and Elves who've wandered too far astray, claiming a massive tree as her brooding

grounds.

 

Days past a duet of adventures beset onto the region, coming across this sizable beast, though only a singular of the combatants managed to hastily flee; the devoured son of Krug managed to devastate the crude mother, yet no doubt still hugely dangerous to the unprepared and prepared alike.

"Tread forth with great caution and expertise, and you shall be finely rewarded. Seek her swiftly, lest the new brood develops further."

An aged figure parted, departing the 'Ame city after his brief telling.

 

 

Wanted: Brood Mother, large Arachnid.

 

Threat level: High, even in her current wounded state.

 

Suggested party number: 5-6 competent individuals

 

Description of beast(s): A hulking Arachnid, easily comparable to the size of an aged male Wyvern. Lost both of her frontal eyes in the first encounter as well half an appendage. Capable of rendering horrid spittle of acidic nature as well feats of bestial strength and speed. Usually has a great amount of lesser arachnids about her, voracious children.

*Ahernin comes shuffling back into the city of Sutica, his eyes showing hints of weariness from travel. He tells of his encounter with the huge beast over a few drinks of ale and how his comrade valiantly took its leg and two eyes before he was swallowed whole, giving Ahernin a chance to flee.

 

"After we fought of the swarms of spiders, we turned to the broodmother herself. She shot acid from her mouth that melted trees within seconds! Her exoskeleton is almost impeccable to bladed weapons and her legs shoot out at you like spears! Not to mention the dozen spiderlings on her back, aiding her in battle. This monster is truly one for the books. I'll be back to avenge my comrade when I gather more brave souls willing to battle it!"
