The answer is a battle axe. This is something that has bothered me for quite a while. Aye, it is true that dwarves and axes bear similar characteristics; Short, tough, and deadly. But are they practical for a race such as the Dwedmer race? I personally don’t think so. Using axes in battles in the case of the Dwarves is giving the enemy an advantage in battle; A dwarf is short and so are battle axes. This means that the reach of attacks for an axe wielding dwarf is extremely low. Look at this dwarf for example: Do you seriously think he will be able to strike taller opponents without getting crushed first? Dwarves are one of the smallest sized descendants, if they are so inclined to use axes I recommend longer versions of them such as a long axe: Or else you can decide to use a sword, preferable a human sword or a dwarven longsword: It is my believe based on my years of research that we dwarves are more suited for long ranged melee weapons such as spears and halberds, such as the ones shown below: These weapons would allow a dwarf to use all its strength against his target, as well as compensating for his size with the long range of the weapon. I found the video while looking for info about it. Was wondering why in the hells did the dwarves use short axes when they are already small. But I think I might be adapting some of the info he uses, they have very good points.)
