“Lorraine wants to step, prepare forty graves.”

- Samuel Whitcomb Hyde, rallying beside his kinsmen against Lorraine.

12th of The First Seed, 1613.

Over yonder, past the ridge which is Hochspitez, had the forces of Romstun and Dunamis rallied. Each to their own, wielding their respective gear, forged by Gods among men, whose tools shape the future of Lorraine’s sovereign nation. Iron against iron, sword against sword, the famed crimson Flays and the steppe riders of Dunamis against the petty Kingdom of Lorraine. With the unified forces of Lorraine piling below the hillside, formalised into appropriate rankings, with their archers at the rear, their swordsmen mid-way, and their shields men forefront. The duo glowered at one another, hatred rooted deep into their beating hearts, and warfare flowed like molten liquid through their veins.

Neither would back down, whilst the Kingdom of Lorraine taunted their enemy, beckoning them to descend the hillside. Poise, breathe, and charge. The brigands donned in the blue descended the hillside, with their guerrilla warfare tactics, their forces split considerably so, to avoid the oncoming haze of arrows bursting through the skyline. Shields high, none were struck down, and as they met a certain way, did they reconvene to press against the Lorithingian shieldwall. The men whose maws were veiled by scarlet made their forefront mark, putting pressure on the shield front, and the King of Lorraine smiled the sun’s smile. A cocky glee in his beady little eyes. Unbeknownst to he, however, had a Dunamis flank made its way, traversing the mountainside with a curt decline- breaking forth, they broke into a vicious sprint, with their armaments raised high, and their morale unbreakable.

The Lorraine forces stood no chance, against the might of Romstun’s frontal attack, and the Dunamis flank led by the infamous Danis Revlis. The King was seen fleeing, an envoy by his side, leaving his soldiers to perish. Craven, they weeped, weak, they mocked, the King would feel the unrelenting wrath of the combined alliance of Dunamis and Romstun. Their plots will cease, Savoy will fall, and Lorraine will never again strive to scheme maliciously against a force they cannot reckon with. This was but the first of many, many victories for the forces of Romstun and Dunamis.

They will have their vengeance. They will have their way.

“To kill a snake, you must cut off its head.” said Zoey Romstun-Revlis as she beheaded the captain of Lorraine’s forces.

A murder of crows flew overheard the city of Metz, wherein the army of brigands were victorious. Setting camp, to await their advance. The crows seeking their carrion. The carrion of Lorraine.
