Just an idea(pulling an all niter so get ready!) i had about Orc religion. I always got the idea of like Native American, Mongolian, and African vibe for Orcs...similarities are they are nomatic and they worship ancestors. As far as how they pass it down it's mostly through stories that are told from old to young. They wrote down very little. Every time i see a bookshelf i feel it's out of place for Orcs. I feel they should at least be masked with -for instance a statue or totem built around the bookshelf and the book is the "engraving", "omen" or "premonition" -something like that.

I guess i just felt bookshelves seemed too civilized for orcs considering they get most of their knowledge from their trials in the desert, wars, and listening to Shaman who get it from ancestors. -Shaman Krink, what have the fish told you about these darkening skies? he replies "day sayz it must be patient and uze live baitz...wait what now?"

I like where you are going with the flag Baisha. -Just my suggestion. I would like to see the skull thing have nostril holes like a skull and not a nose. Also maybe make the scorpions claws and tail be a different color than yellow so it "pops" more...maybe...erm..a darker yellow...dangit minecraft! moar colors!!

Very cool. I would add nose-holes with no nose and put two small fires inside of the eyes and make the inner eye sockets be red wool. The eyes could be lit in times of war, so that anyone passing by would see them burning and know that someone, somewhere was getting slaughtered. The yellow on the scorpion might look better if it was just black or dark gray. Also, what's this huge thing supposed to be made of in-character? Wool? Maybe it ought to be made of mostly sandstone or stone. Might be more realistic. The banner of course could stay wool.

Also, I say we adopt the scorpion as Krugmar's official logo.

Anyhow, looks good. I love the spine staircase.

I agree with you, and originally there were nose-holes, but the only problem is the thing is so big that i hit the upper ceiling before i could get above where the holes originally were so i had to change it up and turn them into eye sockets instead. You really have to see it in-game to get an idea of how big it is lol

As far as materials, I think stone would probably work; the only problem with sandstone is that the majority of the city is made of sandstone (or will be i am assuming) so it might be nice to have something that contrasts with that.

I think it makes sense for the post the flag sits on to be made out of wood. You can put a few protruding bits, like it was a huge tree that was cut down to make the flag post out of.

As for the skull, since it is supposed to be a "skull" of a beast that was once living, I think it makes sense to have it made out of wool. But again, we'd still have to get GM approval to use a giant monster's skeletal remains. I could probably work up some good lore for it though.

Yea the entire post is made out of dark wood and has iron bands around every 8 blocks, and at the top there is a giant iron socket and two large iron rings on the horizontal piece, which are covered by the skull now.

Hopefully they would allow it and get a good way to work it in. Thing can be seen from really far off and would be cool to have one looming above the orc's capital, imo.

Seeing as the entire skull is made of wood, i wasn't able to put fire in the eyes without risking the entire thing burning haha

Great job on the scorpion. That's a really good representation with the limitations you had. I didn't know those were stairs at first. When I first saw the picture I thought those "stairs" were the monster's spinal cord still attached to the skull.

That's lookin' really good. If it's supposed to be an actual skull, then wool's good, so long as it gets approved. Maybe it could be a giant sand serpent sent by Iblees to devour the sons of Krug. Although what the hell would have been able to spear such a huge thing. Were the old gods that giant? Was it shaman magic?

Anyhow, pretty cool so far.

Also, has anyone considered a giant statue of Krug? Maybe do one out of sandstone and have him holding a giant golden axe. I've done some to-scale player statues before so I could work on an example later on and see how it looks.

It is supposed to be the monsters spinal cord coming down around the post, they dont function as stairs, but strategic ladder placement could certainly make them climable
