The Flowerbed

A short poem was written by Gussie to practice writing. The handwriting would be fairly bad, though still understandable. She wrote it a couple times, just to get her writing down, leaving a couple copies on a table in The Dragur Library, next to the poetry section.

The Flowerbed

"The Flowerbe', full o' surprise.

So much color, petal te petal.

It'd be har' te sumrise.

From flowers blue,

To fadin' oranges and bloomin' reds.

Numbing to warmth,

Health to deat',

Hearth te hearse,

Versatileteh in use.

Pleasin' te the eye,

Crawlin' skin like pillbu's.

Ter t'e flowerbe' I rise,

Eyes adjourning from li'e ter see the small.

A small worl' beside otha' small worlds.

But a poppy's pick'd,

Time decay's.

I 'avent long before,

I advert meh gaze,

and back to work, time resumes."

"But, why did the author write in an accent?" Nora wondered to herself, reading over a copy.

The text seemed to more reflect bad spelling rather than an accent, 's representing smudged letters and incomplete punctuation.

Moved to The Great Library. It shall be sorted into the appropriate category shortly.

If you feel this is a mistake, please contact myself or any FM and we'll restore it.
